Are you looking at 37s next? I assume you're getting 4.88s....you getting the longer DVS arms? Talk to us.

That’s a good moral. I’ve been reading about air lockers for a longtime, but I’ve never been in a position to own any. Had an elocker on a 02 Tacoma that I foolishly sold to make way for kids and car seats.

I also like the idea of the round OEM locker switch that wits sells wired to suit the ARB air lockers. But still it comes down to what’s available and who can do the install for me. I watched some videos, seems like a great place to hire someone who’s set up lots of gears.

You lot will be the first to know.
I’ve been running my lockers with an oem dial switch and now want to change over to individual switches so I can lock the front independently for certain situations. I’d just go with separate switches if I were you.

You’d probably want to get on Torfabs schedule as soon as you know when you’ll have your hardware.

I’d like to use them. Sounds like they are very busy. But I can imagine they can crank out a regear on a pair of thirds no problem.

No to 37’s. Yes 4.88. I’m not sure about the DVS arm options and which would suit my LC best. That’s a planned phone call on Tuesday!

37’s are a must…. at a minimum….

Ok for real this time: I got the green light to pursue regearing, lockers, and DVS radius arms. Lots of phone calls to make Tuesday.

So I’m leaning towards air lockers, I like the Harrop’s but I also like the idea of having that twin compressor on my team. I realize that the air lockers have lots of vulnerabilities, but I think they are all pretty well documented. The harrops seems great too. It will probably come down to which are available.

Going to try cruiser outfitters for parts. Haven’t done business with the yet.

Good luck finding gears.

Thanks, looks like I’ll need it. I’m calling up cruiser outfitters on Tuesday and I’ll see what I can learn. Looking forward to learning more from them.

See if east coast gear supply has what you need :)
I know they have ARBs (I have drooled over them :D :D )

Good to know. I’d like to support a Land Cruiser business first, so Cruiser Outfitters is my first call. I’ll go from there. Honestly if I run into supply issues, I’ll just pause my time frame.

We’re planning a trip to UT with the kids for spring break first week of April and in a perfect world I’d have this all done by then, but that seems like it might be a bit tight.

It’s not really a wheeling trip, but compared to Washington’s typical public lands roads most of UT backroads feel like epic 4wD tracks. It will be a good start for all of us, but I’ll hardly need lockers to get around….this time.

The DVS radius arms are my other big hope. I’m really hoping to improve the wandering steering and general feel of highway driving a bit. My wife finds it a little squirrelly and I miss sharing the long drives with her!

So I’ll figure out what’s possible tomorrow. But yea! I’m excited!

Have you done rear panhard correction already?

Call Ken "Zuk" 480-406-2283
Zuk is on vacation to do more fishing in 2022! he was my first choice. But I respect that he’s going fishing for a year, it’s o my bucket list too.

Negative. I inherited a truck with the barest minimum lift, suited for puddle splashing and some epic mall crawling.

From the Zuk website:

“Toyota Gear Installs
2-4-2022 15

Extended break for ALL of 2022.....gone fishing and camping.
No mail-in 3rds.....but a local with a gear install should contact me.”

He’s also camping. I say good for him.

Yep. good for him, glad he's able to do it. I'll delay my front locker install until 2023.... At least that will be my excuse, really, I'll probably run out of money.

Damn, I was planning on regearing later this year but whatever, I can wait. that just gives me more time to buy all the other s*** needed for 37s. Thanks for posting this, G.

Bring that puddle jumper down and I’ll do my custom track bar bracket for you. It might take two days and many laughs but we will succeed.

You never offered that kind of love to me. I'm gonna show up to your house unannounced with a case of keystone light.

Keystone gets the job done eventually but what I really want from you is spam and a stack of macadamia nut pancakes topped with coconut syrup brutha!
