This ain't ARFCOM, the pics I have of my wife will stay neatly tucked away in the deep dark recesses of my home computer. :D

My 100 is not in this pic so I guess I will have to take it down soon. She's on the 545 we just got rid of.

Anyhow, thanks Paul for doing this and getting it out the door so fast.

10A is in, all is well. Ship em off!

I got a couple LED's installed last night before female persuasion intervened and forced me drive for Sushi and Sake... I first installed the "map light" bulbs where the sunroof controls are easily. One LED bulb appeared to be a slightly different color so I tried the "extra or spare" bulb and found two that matched just fine... I took a picture or two and will continue the project this evening...

Door courtesy light removal

I can get my light covers for the door courtesy lights off just fine but I can't seem to pull out the old bulps. They seem to be n very snuggly and just slip from my fingers when i pull on them. Ay advice on how to get those out?

Otherwise install has gone smoothly. I too observed color temperature differences between the front map lights as mentioned earlier in the thread. Unfortunately, the bonus light of the same type was not working so I put in one of the red lights there instead for now. I'll see how i like it after having it there for a while.

I can't wait to see these in the night. :)

I think you pry out the whole housing then twist the entire housing(separated from the light cover) away from the bulb! I think thats the hundy or the GX470! I'll double check!

Mine were snugh but came out with a little effort. The housing didn't have to come out though! Wiggle them back and forth a little and they should pop out.

As an aside, make sure you really slam the covers back on the doors. They take a great deal of force to seat properly. If you don't, they will pop off of the doors when you close them and you'll find them (hopefully) sitting on the floor right by the door.

Made a little more progress installing LED's while also working on other projects today... All door lights have now been replaced and all look great in the dark as well... Very pleased with these so far...

Got my pack in the mail this weekend Paul. Hope to do the swap this week as time permits.

Ok. I got these out too. Now with all the bulbs switched, I'm very happy with the results. Much greater light output than before.

I like the red LED as the map light, though wish it had a bit more light output--I suppose if I had my eyes really adjusted to the dark, then it might be bright enough. In my quick dark garage test, I found the light to be a bit too subtle to be definitively useful. For now I plan on leaving it, and will see how I end up liking it over time...

Glad to hear installs are going smoothly.

If you have issues with removing bulbs, try grabbing the bulb with a fast food napkin. Worked for me. I am going to give the 1st list a couple more days to pay and then send out notifications to list #2.

I solved the same by using some single use nitrile gloves (have them around for oil changes, etc.) Worked great! Oils on fingers were too slippery, but with the gloves I could get a good grip and that made all the difference. :)

A few more observations now that i've finished the LED install...

If you are installing the LED's with small circuit boards they are labeled with a + and - on each side.(helpful)

The bulb sockets inside the 100 are negative if there is only a hole on the socket side to plug in. The positive side has a slot that leads to a larger hole which allows the bulb to be seated. Some lights also have factory red and black wires which are visible and make it easy to figure out the + and - the first time. I only mention this because it's nice to get it installed right the first time and not have to re-seat the bulbs.

All dome light LEDs (even small switched ones) will require bending or manipulation of the sockets a little to get the slightly larger bulbs to fit.

I also noticed the larger festoon cluster board bulbs will cut on and off sometimes in rows with slight pressure from your hand. I originally thought two of my clusters had bad rows of bulbs but after re-hooking up a board that had three LED's not lighting up and pressing firmly on the back the rows lit back up.

I also did not end up using the Red LED's (although cool) because I wanted more light output... Wish the Reds came with more lights on the bulbs instead of the single LED... I will find another place for the red ones somewhere tho...

So anyway... All interior lights are LED now and attracting all the new critters in my neighborhood...

Good package deal overall...
