was doing some research on your “P” always being illuminated. It said if they stay illuminated to remove and install rotating 180 degrees. Maybe that’s the trick ?
Thanks. I need to pull the cluster soon to replace the one behind the fuel gauge (it’s been flickering) so I’ll try rotating the P bulb at the same time. 👍🏼

For anyone doing this don't buy the cheapo packs of Amazon leds otherwise you're just going to be replacing everything again in a few months as I have learned....
^^^^yup^^^^

Cheap a*^ Chinese/amazon ones will start flickering or just plain go out. I’ll do the superbrightled ones soon. fml lol

Mine have been trouble free for four months, but will have to report back later. Went with bulbs shaped like regular 194s, and they were reported to be less bright than others (a plus). Since they're so easy to replace and were $9 for 12, not worried about it, and no problem going back to regular bulbs if they don't work out in the long run.

You can do whatever color you like. I replaced the main dash cluster bulbs with white (old green caps were shot anyway) and prefer it. Also did white LED for lighting (map, dome, glove box). For dash cluster icons (ABS, CEL, etc) I was able to reuse the green caps on new incandescent bulbs, and same with heater controls.

If anyone is interested, I've already made a spreadsheet for locations to bulbs since I'm doing this update soon:

I need to take some time and look back through the thread but does anyone have any info on changing the HVAC lights? Mine are only working about 30% of the time. I thought I remember seeing somewhere that the control unit needs to be replaced?

If it's just the bulbs and not a larger issue, there are two main types from memory. Backlights are type b T4 neowedge, and the little selection-indicator bulbs are a 3mm that you solder in.
