They are still producing lc150s.
I just saw one yesterday that was produced less than 3 weeks ago. Will continue until the end of the year.
I am hearing lc250 will start production 2.2024 and arrive towards March/April.
I think GX will start production earlier.

That tracks with both the earlier launch and dealers saying January is when the first 550s should start landing!

I think in the GCC the 2024 Prado will be overshadowed by the launch of the 2025 Y63 Nissan Patrol as they are expected to arrive at the same time.

The pricing might not be far off, in fact the basic low grade version Y63 Patrol will probably be cheaper than a higher grade version of the Prado.
Not that Toyota cares as its not the job of the 250 to compete with the Y63, however its launch will really be overshadowed as the Nissan Patrol launch is always a very hyped event around here and is the second biggest event in the automotive sphere in the GCC after the launch of the full size LC wagon.

Looks more like a Lexus crossover. I like the look but I am not ready for any electric until the technology and infrastructure dramatically improves

Looks like they will turn the Land Cruiser nameplate similar to what Range Rover are doing
Have a bit of every segment and throw the LC name to all of them and possibly spin it off to a sub brand which is pretty much is anyway.

The fact they call this a Land Cruiser, regardless of how crossoverish it looks means it has to back up the name with some above average capability and durability.

Next up would be the mini LC ev cruiser concept we saw a while back.

looks like a supra fuuked a rivian

Sure why not. We have it on good authority that to make it a Land Cruiser all they need to do is call it one. Will probably get great mpg as a daily driver and there's obviously a market for it.

So... they took an LQ and made it boxy. Cool.

I don't really care what name they put on vehicles. But this seems pretty far afield from what the Land Cruiser nameplate is associated with and the brand that is built around it. It's a lot closer to any of the crossovers Toyota has in the lineup. And to me it does look proportionally very similar to the LQ concept. Long hood, stretched wheelbase, driver's seat position being almost half way back to the rear wheels.

I guess if that's the new Land Cruiser Coupe - maybe this is the new mini Land Cruiser. Shown here in the new Pueblo Pink TRD Pro color for 2025.

Edit: other thoughts if you haven't' read the press release:
The thing is 120" wheelbase. So, we're talking Sequoia scale 3 row EV SUV coupe. Where Sequoia took all the cargo volume with the hybrid battery - this one takes it all away with the sloping rear roofline. I have an RX350 - can confirm that you lose a lot of useable space to the rear door design.

Front clip appears to be borrowed from the cybertruck.

The rear end looks super disfunctional. Should have amazing departure angles for rock crawling!

The EPU pickup concept is a lot more interesting IMO. I don't hate it. And it looks a lot more production ready than the Land Cruiser Se concept; has normal door handles, real mirrors, etc.

Interesting that pickup
I wonder if it might end up as a reincarnation of the toyota stout for the US and some markets.

Here is another small pickup concept toyota made aimed at developing markets

***pulling hair out**** :censor: :poop::crybaby:

Grenadier is sure looking alot more appealing now, hopefully they make a real landcruiser rip off too
Call it the Bomba-dier

To be honest
I am very excited to see a different approach to the usual land cruiser formula regardless of how it looks. We already have the traditional models available and they aren't going anywhere.

Curious to see how the monocoque platform that is in this earns the land cruiser title.

No one expects this to have UN stickers on it but how capable would it be and how tough compared to other similarly constructed vehicles.
Lots of interesting unknowns...

The model that’s gets the Range Rover name is still the pinnacle. Hopefully the “Land Cruiser” is the same even if other models have “land cruiser-ness” to them.

I think the LC300 and whatever succeeds it will always be the big daddy.
The LC300 design was frozen a long time ago, almost 7 years ago and development started almost a decade ago.
So it is definietly showing its age right now but they will eventually get it up to speed.

Interesting to note though this new electric land cruiser concept is bigger than the 300 in every dimension except height.
