Did you ever get this to work? I have a 2001 LC with nav and looking for upgrade solutions.

The best thing you can do is completely rip out all the factory stereo equipment and upgrade all of it. We've figured out the solution over on the other thread, besides cutting like 60 little individual wires and soldering them together, it's very simple to do.

I now have a much more intuitive climate control in the rotary knobs, my headunit has Android Auto with a full crossover for a 3 way set up for tweeters, woofers, and an upgraded subwoofer in the factory box. (JL audio, 6" , it's fantatsic)

Great thanks can you link me to the other thread?

I have 2001 non-navigation LX and I agree with gutting out all the OEM equipment.

You can probably buy a middle of the road amp, speakers and a new CD headunit cheaper than buying any 1 part of the OEM equipment. And the aftermarket stuff will last longer and sound better.

If you want some ideas on a system, I posted my upgrades somewhere on this forum.
