Thanks Hilux, 35x10.50s would be nice and is what i will get when i wear out the LTB's. Though, not much in terms of choices available. I had the LTBs/toyota wheels on my FJC as my offroad tires and never noticed any slippy ness on road. Hard braking with them was always fun though, haha.

Thanks Smitty. I really appreciate you taking the time to go give this Cruiser a look over and test drive for me before i made my flight out there. It was too bad we didn't get to meet up in GA while i was there so i could buy you lunch.
This Friday i am driving up to Toyota of Dallas (TRDparts4u) to pick up my ARB bumper and probably buy some other nick nacks for the cruiser. (if they have a snorkel in stock, i'll probably grab one, ha)
Yesterday i placed an order with Sierra Expeditions:
LightForce 240 Blitz
Clear combo filters
Barri-nut locking nuts for the lights
Military spec battery terminals (for primary battery, already have a set for the auxiliary batter)
Super Quickfist (for fire extinguisher mount)
Things i have already that i still need to install.
Slee Stainless brake lines (all 7), new DOT4 brake fluid, complete set of speed bleeders.
OEM radiator to engine hoses, PHH tubing to replace the metal tube with the hi-quality silicone green hose from Napa and some breeze clamps.
The wiring for the dual battery kit and a blue sea auxiliary battery fuse block
Cobra CB radio (need a new antenna and stud)
.... there is probably some more stuff i have to install sitting in boxes, i just can't remember off the top of my head, haha.
The other day while waiting for the parts store to open, i removed my center grill, sanded it down and painted it semi-flat black and painted the Toyota sombrero a dark gray. It looks a lot better. Now i just need to paint the abs chrome around the head lights.
I just bought a hazard light switch from a forum member to use as a light switch for the LightForce lights as well. Also picked up one of these mic holders for the CB radio to replace one of the change holders on the center console.

Once the FJ Cruiser sells i will be placing my rear bumper order. 90% sure i am going with the 4x4Labs with dual swing outs.

Not too much of an update on the Cruiser.
Had a busy weekend. While waiting on the parts store to open i finally had some time to remove my grill and get to sanding down that ABS chrome :rocker:
It is now semi-flat black and the center toyota sombrero is dark gray. It looks a LOT better than the chrome, now i just need to do the sections surrounding the head lights.
I removed my OME suspension from the FJC to sell and on Saturday installed an OME suspension (different one) for a local member, Hodges. Turns out, i somehow know his brother from back in the day and he and i were friends with a lot of the same people in high school. I even had his bands sticker on my guitar, haha.
Parts
Had to modify his stock skid a little bit so that it would fit with his bull bar. Some sawzall and grinder wheel later here is what was left. I tried to convince him he needs a "real" bumper :jester:
Some shots Hodges got of me being a dirt covered mechanic. And to think my other job is as a Physicist, haha.
Note to self:
Never install a front suspension again without a tierod puller!!!
It is a PITA to remove/install the front coilover. It's doable though after a lot of trial and error. However, when installing my stock suspension, no go. Had the stock bottle jack on the UCA pushing down with the base upside down against the inner fender with the load spread on a piece of wood. Still no go. Unbolted the front diff to allow more droop, no go. Went bought a tierod puller and disconnected the UCA from the spindle. The coilovers installed in about 20 minutes using this.

Just ordered some lights and miscellaneous parts from Sierra Expeditions:

ARB IS ON!
Getting started.
Part of packaging removed.
Bumper off, re-tapped all weld nuts to ensure they are clean and grinded, painted.
Also, my pooch and my parents pooch who i am watching while they are on a road trip across the country.
Done with lights (Light Force not wired up yet, didn't have the time this afternoon)
And the pooches ready for the ride home

Thanks Lndcruz. We have had goldens all my life in my family. So, of course i had to get me one. They love the water, are great with little kids, and are so loving, and of course are the best looking
Thanks Julstirn. The ARB doesn't have the most ground clearance of some others, but for my needs it works perfect, and IMO looks the best.

Sold the super swampers and wheels to a local FJC owner.
Calling up Luke at 4x4 Labs tomorrow and ordering my rear bumper with dual swing outs. For now i will get the tire carrier on the DS and the PS blank. Later on i will buy the can holder. This just allows me to save some money on the bumper for right now and the can holder can easily be added later on with his design.
Then, once my FJC sells i will be getting some new trail tires. Either 35s or 36s.

Great write up! Great use of funds too! I wish I had your disposable income. 4 kids will take that away quite quickly. Just completed some maintenance on our new to us 80 series (Oliver) and would love to do more, but as you probably know, the fund dry up fast. Looking forward to hearing more.

Just got off the phone with Luke at 4x4 Labs and placed my order!
I got the rear bumper with dual swingouts.
On the US DS i have the tire carrier and on the back, the hi-lift mount.
The passenger side swing arm will stay blank for now. I will order the can holder later on since it can easily be added. This allows me to save a good bit of money initially on the bumper.
Will post pics of the install when it comes in!
