Ok been a while since I update the progress on the EFNY build. We have gotten a lot of work done since our last update. In our last update we had rebuilt the front and rear axles with all new OEM seals and bearings. We also upgraded the brake system with some cross drilled and slotted rotors. We then proceeded to do a complete tear down of the truck to get it prepped for paint.
We started by gutting out the interior (seats, panels, headliner, carpet, etc)
We then removed all door weather stripping, door belt mouldings, rear windows, lights, bumpers, door handles and then focused on getting the engine out.

After she was completed stripped we took her to the body shop to get her much needed makeover. Here she will get a new PS fender (no more snorkel) and all 20 years of bumps and bruises will be fixed along with a top secret new color. EFNY will be one of a kind LCH creation.

Can you post a few pictures of that new radiator? I bought a 93 fzj80 last summer and it has a radiator with plastic end tanks. I am assuming that its not OEM, that makes me rather nervous.
Do you have any pictures of the plastic vents behind the rear sliding windows? Every time I shut my doors they rattle. What holds them on?

Wait until you see it. The paint job should be done this week. I am sure Frank will post some pictures. It took a while to figure out what color I wanted, and then I saw it and knew what I wanted. Wait for it!!

If you’re doing a complete resto, LMK if you want the right “smoked/bronze” - Toyota LANDCRUISER - emblem for the hatch handle.

Sorry, I assure you its worth the wait. Some parts took longer than expected to get. The paint job, done by a third party has some concerns, but we are back on track. Frank and I talk every week. We should have some pictures up within the week.
