Would anyone know why the rear sits a bit higher on this KZJ78 compared to the front?
Can it be adjusted or mismatching springs? I would like it to be level.

Thanks

Looks like a typical aftermarket lift in my opinion. They tend to have a bit more spring rate in the rear to carry stuff. You're also missing your rear tire mount/spare tire which adds a few pounds in the back that is giving you a bit more height in the back.

Looks good to me.

Is there any way to level it without adding a rear tyre mount? First time owning a land cruiser or even any 4x4. In my mercedes you could get different thickness spring pads to make fine adjustments.
Chop the springs? haha

Yeah you can add spacers to the front springs up top to give it more height.
I would measure your front/back rake to see how far up you need to go on the fronts.

You can purchase coil spacers similar to these linked below but I should note these would need to be modified to fit the KZJ78's front upper spring perch. the front upper spring perch on the kzj78 has a centering ring that keeps the top of the spring in place (sort of like a hub centering ring on a wheel spacer). These spring spacers almost fit perfectly, but the top of the spacer is just cut flat without taking into consideration the centering lip on the truck.

@Jsp , like Tanner said, put a couple friends in the back seat, a case of beer in the cargo area, then take another picture. it will be perfectly level. Problem solved! On a serous note, the rear springs do have cups that usually go bad after a number of years. Mine were in bad shape when I put my Dobinsons in. Check out your rear spring cups if this is bothering you that much, but I would Not chop the springs. If you removed the cups, I don't think it would give you more than a quarter inch.

haha I am sure my friends will love that idea!

I actually haven't got the car yet, Its on the way from Japan, but will check out the suspension setup. I wonder if the springs will settle as I believe the dealer only added them recently.

Mine sits about 1-1.5" higher in the rear, I have Old Man Emu lift springs with 30mm spacers added in the front. A few hundred pounds in the rear levels it out nicely and improves the ride quality.

As others have said, this is normal and actually desired so when you do load the car, one doesn't end up with bro rake ( front higher than the rear).

Check when you get it too if there are some spacers in there. Previous owner might have added some for added weight at some point, but then removed the weight.

A 2" rake is pretty common on Toyota's also. And yes, you can raise the front up, it just depends what's on it. A lot of imports seem to have random lifts installed, some better than others.
