That's perfect, thanks Mattnatti!! :)

I'm assuming the 40mm water sender attachment is the same for the 3FE and the 1FZ? Also, is there a final verdict on what thread size you get with the Amazon Koso gauge? They don't specify anything. And Koso's website shows several different temp sensors....

I didn't even go that far, took the top off, quick markings, cut and reinstalled. I did slide the clamp down, tightened a bit and used for a "straight cut/edge".

Well since I have such advanced :wrench: skills::D .......hahaha...I was starting with a brand new hose that wasn't attached in the first place.

I am not certain about the difference of the 3FE and the 1FZ. I bought my koso from eBay as well as the adaptor. Honestly never once thought about thread size. I just used what they sent.

Someone will chime in soon with the correct info.

If you order the model number listed on the last page you will get 1/8th NPT threaded sender.

well, I did - and it's NOT 1/8 NPT :bang:

came directly from the Powersports Superstore (via Amazon)

Nice to have options for both OBD1 and 2, imho.

The koso I got only come with 70cm/2 & a bit foot of cable for the sensor. I see that it has two wires running to the sensor, would there be any drama in cutting & adding cable to get the desired length?
Cheers, Mike.

So, I extended the loom for the sensor & dummy rigged it up & because I ordered 2 guages I dummy rigged the second one as well to see if there was any difference after extending the loom. None what so ever between the two.
Happy days, Mike.

2 months into this mod, and it's still working great, BUT, now its made me paranoid. i watch the gauge ALL the time now. and have a question.. whats the "normal" temps people are seeing?
after getting up to operating temp my gauge goes from a low of 178 to a high of 195, but usually hangs around the 185-190 range. i assume there is a 190 degree thermostat in there, but haven't checked it.

are these normal? what the high dangerous level?

Mine was also making me paranoid so I re-installed mine to the left side where I have to move my head to see it. Basically I have to go out of my way to read it by leaning a little to the left. Works for me and my OCD brain.

Temps for my 1994 are exactly as you have stated........exactly.

Just got mine installed with the glowshift works great thanks to the OP.

My temps seem low 170-181 was the highest I got..

I used the 38mm adapter, fit great mine states around 185, highest it got was 192 on a steep incline
