Bead lubricant is available in a variety of colors, I've seen blue, green, pink, etc. Its essentially used in a tire store environment to efficiently and economically slasher all over a wheel as they mount and seat. In the field, water or dish soap are workable solutions. We recently reseated the bead on a 44" tire at -30* using just hot water, two ARB air compressors and two sets of hands... the water was all the lubricant we needed so long as we worked fast.

Thanks for reminding me how much more awesome your trips are than mine Kurt! (But I do love hearing about them. Been on ExpeditionUtah.com a lot recently because of you, researching a possible fun trip in a couple months. Thanks for always helping us little guys)

Let me be very clearing, fixing a trucks tire bead while the trailer behind said truck us stuck in a crevasse that is approx 40' deep, all while harnessed to the trick and sitting on a half sheet of plywood to provide a "base"... was pretty awesome in hindsight :D I'll do a full trip report sooner than later. Glad to hear your finding some enjoyment with ExpeditionUtah, we've got such a neat community there, so much knowledge hiding in those threads

Got them mounted. One question, I have them at 35 psi but what pressure should I have them on for hwy?

35psi sounds low, but I can't recommend a cold tire inflation pressure without knowing the size. Please provide the tire size and I'll provide the recommended pressure.

Sorry, That information would be useful lol. They are BFG KM3 LT275/70/R18 125/122/Q.

I appreciate the information

The Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for your LT275/70R18 KM3's on your LC200 is 41psi Front/Rear.

This pressure is good for all conditions, including highway, except for off-road where you may want to reduce pressure.

Don't forget to reset your TPMS after properly inflating all tires - including spare.

Nice thanks for the information and the quick response. I had no idea about resetting the TMPS. I’ll look into that. Thanks again for the info

Oh my god. That's gunna be a popular clip!

I was watching BFGs promo videos, this one is about preventing sidewall splitting. But watch closely, the sidewall splits open anyway...

That’s hilarious!

Someone’s head at BFG is gonna be on a plate...

Any updates on the km3 wearing or on road wet weather performance?

Laughable... compared to a new set of Defender LTX, I do not feel very confident with them in heavy rain. From a regular rain I got I could tell the likelyhood of hydroplaning is higher and they do wander quite a bit.

I haven't had them on long enough to say anything about wear.

Factory rims with LTX and RWs with KM3 incase anyone would think the wandering is because of offset

that’s interesting, I’ve put over 10k on mine and have no issues in Florida heavy rain. As far as wandering, it’s been very minor for me. I have the KM3 on the stock rims.

Road noise has increased over time,I have try and rotate the tires after every road trip, but road noise is pretty significant compared to when I first purchased them.

is anyone running a 33/12.5/18 KM3 on a stock wheel? Stock height? Anyone else have pictures of their 200 on Km3's?

Is it LC or LX? You might have issues with the width on an LC because of KDSS
