are you planning to add a second mount from the crossmember to the transfer case? I would highly recommend you do.

I briefly thought about it. Just not sure where. The only available places to add one would be the pto cover or build off some case bolts. If you have any ideas I’m all ears.

I went off the rear 6-bolt cover. So the mount would be inline with my 1st transmission mount. Not the cleanest thing ever but I agree there’s not an easy perfect spot. Several pics in my build thread.

Man I’m really on the fence about adding the t case mount. Part of me just wants to run it as is and see how it goes, and part of me wants to just add the mount while I’m at it. I’m just not sure how I’d do it.

Welded in the rest of the bungs. Pressure tested the tank, had one little pin hole to weld up. Installed tank and one hose. Ordered some fittings for the other hoses.

I need to get the other hose made and make the skid plate and then I’ll take it all apart for paint.

Shifter linkage installed and adjusted.

This is where the shifters landed. Looks a little tight in that picture but there’s enough clearance between the knobs and the front console to grab the knob. Everything shifts really good. I got the twin stick kit from Valley Hybrids.

20” of ground clearance to the lowest part of the skid plate. I didn’t measure it with the old setup but I think it’s about an inch lower.

I decided I want to redo my fuel lines. There was nothing wrong with the way it was I just wanted to do something a little better. Before pics on page 3. I got some AN tube nuts and sleeves. -6 AN tube nut and sleeve for 5/16 tube, and -4 AN tube nut and sleeve for 1/4” tube fit original fuel lines. I’m going to make ptfe hoses with AN fittings. Changing the fuel filter to the 1991 Chevy 1500 filter. Made a bracket/mount for the filter, used an existing threaded hole on the frame to build off of. I try to use existing threaded holes wherever I can.

I’m going to have to remove the throttle cable bracket and modify it for fuel hose clearance.

I’ll cut it for clearance then add some to it for reinforcement.

Modified the throttle cable bracket and finished the fuel hoses. PTFE hose and fittings worked out pretty good. There’s tons of adapters and different angle fittings available. I feel much better about the fuel hoses now, glad I did that.

Also redid the section of exhaust. Made it removable.
