I don't know what wheels to keep with my land cruiser I'm stuck between 16 inch wheels or 18 inch wheels I was thinking of getting 295/75/16 or 285/70/18 mud tires. What would be best?

IMO if it is between the stock 16" and the 18" in the first picture then stick with the 16 but it all depends on what you are going for... Comparing the tire prices based on 16 vs 18 would be a good idea as well.

The price of the tires is only like a $200 total difference but I'm stuck on wether keeping the 16s or mounting 18s. I could also give them to my dad which I think they suit his lx better

personally, I like the extra sidewall for airing down on the 16's, and swapped those onto my 2004, running 295/75/16's. But if you're not off-road much, go for what you like! The 18" combo of wheel and tire can be heavier, if that matters to you. The OEM 16" alloys are about the lightest tire/wheel combo you can get for equal size/width tires. But outside of sidewall height, it's pretty much up to your personal taste, budget and tolerance.

Thanks for your opinion I appreciate it!

I have both and have been switching back and forth because I cant decide. The 18s are a MT which I love the look but for drive-ability and road feedback, I am leaning towards the 16 and sticking with an aggressive AT.

those wheels are hideous. Stick with the stock 16's and the AT of your choosing.

I concur. If you put wheels like those on there, next thing you know, all your door handles will be chrome and your rear hatch window will have a full sized howling wolves graphic. Maybe even some curb feelers.

It's a snow ball effect. I've seen it a thousand times.

I was thinking the same thing about those wheels....My next door neighbor have it on his bling bling Chevy Tahoe and I've always thought there are plenty more good looking wheel selections out there. Keep the 16s! :giggle:

18's dont look that bad either

I am currently running those exact wheels. I enjoy their look but they do have their drawbacks on the trail when I want to air down. Their sidewall limits shows in the scratches I have acquired.

That being said, I do not think I would be able to fit my stop tech brakes in the 16" wheel. I could be wrong but I think they require a 17" or larger.

stock 16's look amazing w oversized tires. I get lots of compliments on them... I really like the tundra alloy 18's as well. IMO, aftermarket wheels look like s*** on a LC.

I agree, except for these JAOS ones... But they're $600 each. :crybaby: I just don't think they're $2400 cooler than OEM. They're not front bumper and sliders cooler than OEM, for sure...
