Today I drilled the holes for the vaccum canister, painted and slightly bent the vaccum line that goes across the firewall so that it is a perfect fit with the FJ booster, did some more painting.

Here is the front clip with some massey ferguson red for contrast...
And the second fender getting ready for primer...

I think there is one with a larger diameter and that is the one to use. This was the case on the FJ62 tank that I used anyway.

I used the line on the right. I don't know if the FJ60 tank is the same as this though.

Thanks Kim, the FJ60 pickup is from the same spot as the BJ60, the FJ60 has two lines both the same size...maybe I should put the diesel pick-up in, though more of a hassle as I have to drop both tanks. Surely someone has used the FJ60 pick-up?

Yeah so they tell me...anyways I bought one 9 years ago so I will swap that over from the 81BJ into the FJ tank at some point.
Cancrusher tells me, he tested both lines and they both seemed to come from the same area, so he just plugged one and has had no issues.

Looking good! I'm getting giddy and exited for my California body too; I'm counting down the days to pickup. How was dealing with the border?

Mounts cut out of 84 BJ60 frame now. Measured from 3 spots, made a jig as suggested by cancrusher and also centre punched a reference on mount and frame if I need it.
Measurments are to the nearest mm. Should be good.
Next is to sandblast mounts prior to welding on, then once welded on I will paint them and frame.

Made up a jig before cutting out the mounts from the 84 frame as suggested by others, took several measurements to the nearest mm from several locations on top of that before cutting out.

Picture of truck before washing with steam cleaner, pictures of front bumper bracket removal. Since I am painting the frame I thought I might as well take these off now as I plan to build a new bumper at some point.
