Unfortunately just rolled my 4runner and it ia now written off. The frame and running gear is completely rust free and in excellent condition. Has a 3" body lift and custom exhaust that can all be salvaged. Motor is older but runs amazing.
Question?
A) Do you sell it to insurance for it to be destroyed or
B) Keep the truck even if it means you dont receive anything for it...

Is it worth salvaging to part out?

Thanks.

Ask your insurance if there is an option to buy it back - they pay you the insurance value and then you pay back some amount and get the truck.

There's no way we can answer these questions, you didn't tell us the year, condition, mods, engine, anything, not even a photo. If it's been rolled the body is probably junk. We also don't know your skill level and available tools.

Having done it a few times I can tell you that parting out a vehicle sucks.

What it comes down to how much money you have put into the truck. If it has a nice engine, dual transfer case, regeared diffs with lockers, lift, solid axle, etc, then purchasing it back would probably be worth it. If it's mostly stock I would let the insurance company keep it.

Sounds like it might be best to start fresh. Even if the frame looks good, after rolling it things may be tweaked.

I hit a deer at about 45MPH and tweaked my frame. It bent the bumper enough to bend the frame too.
