Since the wiring harness will be arriving (hopefully) in early May I decided to load up the truck to drop off at RPM for exhaust. Doing a full stainless setup with v-clamps to be able to take it apart. Plan is 2” into 2.5” but we’ll see what Richard has to say once he has eyes on it. I’d like to think that we can leave room for the column shift linkage for a future 4 on the tree conversion. The original arm won’t work with the 3FE so that will take some serious fabing in the future.

Original 3FE exhaust is going with it for O2 sensor reference, etc...

Loaded up. This feels like a much better reason to be on a trailer...

Did you have the ECU flashed? Or just a delay in getting one?

I sent a few harnesses and the ECU to @cruiserbrett to be reworked and stripped of all the unused junk and replacement of any bad connectors.

The wiring harness is almost done so the ECU was returned for fitment.

I’m going to document all the wiring together once I get started on it.

Not sure why anyone would think that running an exhaust pipe this close to a rubber hose is acceptable but I'm not excited about it.

I think I'll be sourcing a banjo fitting and new hose to make the clutch turn away at a 90 degrees and call it good.

I think the bigger concern in the long run will be boiling the hydraulic fluid in the slave cylinder. That could be a problem.

I think the slave is far enough away to not be affected. Either way Richard says bring it by and he’ll make it right. That would have to be after it’s on the road as I’m not going to winch, trailer, winch, fix, winch, trailer, winch, and push into the garage again anytime soon.

I think a new hose will solve the problem. I replaced the old crappy brake line I was using with a stainless braided line (covered in black) with a 10x1.0 banjo bolt on one end to make a 90 away from the exhaust. $35 and 10 minutes at Crown and I think I’m in business.

I think the bleed nipple cover will be a good test.

The best part was having my beautiful bride help bleed the clutch. She’s not much for helping with my greasy projects but she’s very supportive of ME doing it. Ha ha.
