I bought pre-owned from an older local client who drove it like an old lady for only 2,500mi. He ppf the whole front of car and then had it all ceramic coated, including the wheels the day he bought it. I could not pass it up.

Pains me to say, but I'm buying a 2016 Prius with 116k mi this weekend. My wife is back to commuting 100 miles a day, so her 200 will be a weekend car. It's cheaper for us to buy this Prius with insurance and gas than to continue putting 500 miles a week on her Cruiser.
From everything I have read, the Prius is a safe and reliable road warrior.

My dad had one for a long time and loved it. Super reliable and cheap to rack up the miles. Great road warrior DD. He's in a Rav4 hybrid now that he's retired and doing more hiking/fishing off the beaten path.

Our dedicated Adventure Tiiiiiiiiiiiime! truck is a '21 RAM 2500 Tradesman w/ Power Wagon Package...or Trade Wagon...or why pay more when you're going to replace stuff anyway? Full Carli Pintop system with heavy springs riding on 37x12.5R17s with AEV wheels. It's bagged and cradled as well for when we're towing. Chassis Unlimited Octane front bumper with an Expedition One rear dual-swingout. OVRLND Campers pop-up camper shell with the interior designed and built-out by me. A Webasto Air Top petrol-burning heater plumbed to the gas tank keeps the wife super happy...and me...ain't gonna lie. Treated the interior to Katzkin front seats with their heated and cooled set-up, and a full American Aluminum E/Z K9 insert for the fur missiles in lieu of the backseat.
The commuter is our trusty '18 Forester XT...the last of the turbo'd Foresters that we bought when we were SUPPOSED to move to Colorado Springs 7 years ago. Welp...that didn't happen, but it sure is FUN!
