Yeah, but it's not an exit. One of the few unimproved roads along I-40 that directly connect to 40 without the use of a true exit, as there is no slow down lane. You're going to piss some drivers off by slowing down becuase there is a guard rail and then the road!

Yes, definitely not an "exit" in the legal sense of the word.

Yeah imagine the look on people's faces when 7+ trucks put a turn signal on and slow down to 10 mph to make a turn, and everyone coming around that bend is going 70+ :crybaby::flipoff2::skull:

I just drove by here yesterday. Laurel and I were on the way back from Chattanooga, TN. This place has some excellent scenery. I'll bet the fishing rocks.

The 2013 trip had the added fun of a broken down car sitting on the left as you turned in. Juuuuuuuuuust enough room to squeeze by, but seemed like certain death to the drivers still on 40 and waiting to turn off. I also don't remember that gravel being there.

I'll bet the fishing rocks.
I fished a roadside pond for a while and got nothing. The streams that run through the area we did on 2013 are mere trickles, except for the one we camped near on night 2 that was most likely in TN. I didn't have a TN license and didn't want to burn any karma. I'll have a license this year, just in case.

Del and Mike, PM me your email address. All, if there's a different/preferred email address to use for back and forth emails please send it to me, we're going to take all dialog through email. We're going to try and keep up with a running Google Docs file for ongoing items to bring, sign-ups for food items, and other items. The filtering through multiple posts to keep up with ever changing schedules and items is a daunting task for a planner, and a good central location for everyone to access is key for all parties involved.

Am I missing an email? Or has the chatter not yet started. Looks like my brother is coming for this one as Emma is going to be in San Fran. for work.

Del just PM'd me his email last night, I'm still waiting on Vitelli's. Didn't want to have to catch anyone up...

Alas! I'm going to have to bow out on the June trip... There's a strong chance I will be out of town for work... In and of itself, that will make the :princess: upset because we will be in the homestretch on her our bathroom remodel. Anyhow, I want to make sure someone on the wait list has time to plan for the trip, so I'm giving up my spot.

doesn't look like we have any waiters for this trip. I do know Eric forest said he wanted to go though, so add him to the list if you want.

if everyone hasn't sent an email yet don't worry about it. We can just discuss in here. We just need a time and a place to meet really. This is an overland trip so everyone should be on their own for personal supplies right??

Id like to go to both , we do have a wait list , so let one of them have the spot .

Next on the wait-list is @collk22 ...

Sorry, I had multiple people PM me rather than post their interest about the trip, so the next spot goes to GreenHellMustang, Alex. This will also be Alex's first trip with us as an ONSC member!
