Those barn doors look familiar! They made the trip from Guatemala to Colorado on top of the BJ60.

Thats just plain cool and people wonder why I go on and on about cruisers and cruise folk.

Yep, Charles, those are the ones that you delivered to me. Thanks again.

I decided to pursue another set but with the full rear cut this time to make things a little easier. Andre took these off of my hands and it will be a race to see who installs them first. For the record.....I'm betting on Andre. I am a long ways out on doing the body work on my 55. I still have to get that 1HZ in there first.

I spent six hours today cleaning off that same schtick off my front ind knuckles....mine do not look as good as yours though...did you use somthing besides a wire brush?

blue piggy is letting me know it's unhappy with my neglect as of late. seems it's just been enlisted in boring old daily driver chores and has gotten no love while we work on annie and bosshogs rig.

first, it was a slight ground issue with the left front turn signal, then it started to pee on the driveway. a week or so ago, the rear window decided to almost stop working (it'll go half way up but very slowly, then stop) and today, it tried to leave me stuck at the post office. fortunately, i had a half a brick and i was able to persuade it to return me home.

looks like tonight, i will pull the rear window motor and clean and inspect and maybe get starter pulled and cleaned (but don't hope for it ;) )

window motor works just fine, but between the crappy day i've had, dealing with the cruiser not starting and the little j^$#** engineer who designed the impossible to put in clips for the rear window lower weatherstrip, i've about had it!:frown: i've already taken a sledgehammer to the tailgate i'm soooooo freakin' pissed!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

between being broke and having to engineer crap and dealing with the piss poor designwork done on pigs, i'm almost want out of cruisers all together. i did this once before and was miserable for two years until i got another 40, but at least i was able to get my life back on financial track for a while and i had a rig that i could find parts for when it broke.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

if it's not one thing, it's five others.

with this one, i think it's time to find a 40 that needs a powertrain and crush the pig.

Is the "this day too shall pass" statement going to send you through the roof?

It will.....just sayin'.

Regardless, the same trials and tribulations are what have positioned you as one of a handful on this planet that are foremost authorities on Pigs (I know other series, too, and not detracting from) that many of us are very grateful for, myself dependent on, so hang in there.

Tools down, step back and drink a cold beer. That fawker will still be taunting you but you won't have to fix anything else you're about to break ;-) I hate days like that, I've told my wife my Pig hates me on many occasions ...

Well, Pighead got home just in time, it seems. Ige was wielding sledghammers like Thor and cursing everyone related to a Japanese autoworker.
So, instead of watching Jeopardy, as is his norm, Pighead made the rear window go up AND down.
Ige was just doing it backwards (oh, one of Pighead's many rules of thumbses...Think of how an American auto works, do it backwards to make a Japanese car work). It's not a POS pig, though too rusty for Pighead's taste, just a POS tailgate. It IS a good runner though, once running.

Awesome! Way to pull her out of circling the drain Pighead. We need folks like you all to share in our plight.

True cruiser freaks like Ige make me happy.

You can curse short engineers all you want though. How many times Have I? Every time I hit my head on a sub 6 foot doorway. Fawkers!

I was not doing it backwards. I just put the channel on the window before putting it in the door. It will go in that way. And that wasn't the issue that had me pissed...it was those stupid little plastic clips that are supposed to hold the lower outer WS in place....and yes, I wish a foul curse on the engineer who created those

Step away from the Pig...

It will be okay. You and the Pig just need a little time out from each other.
I'll tune back in after a crap-load of work...

Sounds like you're really scrambling. Starters aren't too bad to take apart. I'm sure you know alot more about them than me, but Years ago, when I'd run the rivers, had to take apart and clean everything. Get the crud out of the armature and brushes, most the time it worked.

On the 80 or pig? Much more room in the pig engine compartment ... you have a GR starter?

Tucker

pig gr starter. should just need cleaning, i hope. stuck yesterday, hence the no start and popping the clutch is a bit harder in reverse down hill.
