yeah but when you work for 2 hours you do stuff like remove all paint on your 40 or rebuild the entire engine in one go!!!

I think you need to paint the tailgate green too. I like the rattle can job. One of the best I have ever seen.

Thanks Nolen I really appreciate it....lot of hours and spray cans! I promise it doesn't look NEAR as good in person.....many many flaws, but im learning.

I agree on the tailgate but am actually getting glass put back in the amby doors and the gate comes off. Ill paint it then and have it ready for this summer.

diggity........top should be complete and on by Monday:D Gotta work all weekend first though:mad:

my front end and grille were the first thing I painted and I am a little superstitious so this will be going back on last.

yeah he sent me both in an email.....pretty cool

so far I know the truck had atleast 2 owners before him and im the 3rd since then.

for you guys that remember the truck from the first page of post in my thread you can tell that's it by the huge cow catcher and grill guard. Also the wheels are the same.....pretty crazy I caught up with this guy.

im pretty sure he is on mud and has a couple of 80s now....waiting to hear confirmation.

Being 35 years old I'd guess 15 owners?

^nope you're right this guy has a different user name......

I think alot of it was his tires and driving knowledge

doors

CT offered me his near perfect doors verse mine that were seperating from the outside portion due to rust.

removed all gasket material, wire wheeled, sanded, cleaned, and put RB on them...prepped for paint tomorrow pending rain and a birthday party.

got the rear tire mounted back up and the cross member on with new hardware...had to make alot of gaskets for where there is metal on metal but it should be good now. had to talk my way out of refinishing those chairs in order to continue the rustoleum project but I finally convinced her it could wait.

knob refurb

while waiting on doors to dry. I used white out and finger nail polish....a little more to get off a few of them but they look alot better. I have seen guys use glow in the dark paint but I think the best is sharpie paint markers from hobby stores.

Chris' doors cleaned up nice (yes there is a green paint bomb cloud over my neighborhood:p)
