The right side of the body was looking a bit rough but instead of fixing it I made some storage. Various fluids, a funnel and a grease gun. One day I might make one on the other side for firewood or something.

One way to make lemonade when handed lemons. Nice idea. Is the latch spring tensioned/secure? Will it come loose on the trail?

My forum posts are a bit behind, I have been driving trails with this already and it has been good.
The latch is a tight fit, I press on the door with my knee to slide it open or closed. If I want extra security there is a hole for a padlock or pin but I haven't needed it.

The original mirrors were constantly breaking so I fitted some 70 series style ones. Which are also original for late model 40 series pickups in Australia.
The brackets on the doors are original 40 series, the mirror arms are modified new 70 series and the mirrors themselves are the uncommon curved glass version.

I made a ventilation fan for when sleeping in the back. It is a caravan vent with a Be Quiet PC fan fitted. PWM speed controller from ebay with a knob and junction box from the local electronics shop. I use the lowest speed for preventing condensation in cold weather and the highest speed for air flow in warm weather.
It plugs into the cig socket which is supplied by the second battery.
