Well that's new! Looks pretty nice. Have it wheeling yet?

No not yet has life usually does little things keep getting in the way saving for a house other vehicle just getting out fishing camping hiking running racing the Jeeps kind of always the last priority when it comes to doing stuff so it's kind of came to a crawl lately as far as progress goes

my to do list is getting shorter, but every time I cross one thing off I seem to add 3 more lol

Got a real simple rear shock Tower put together and got the placement I think just about right have to plasma some holes out of the bottom of it and drill a couple holes make a couple gussets for the frame and burn it in

this is the first time I've really stood back and looked at the jeep . It's getting to look like what I have in my head definitely can't wait to get the sliders and fenders built. Going to be moving it over to my dad's house because my buddy just has too much stuff going on in his shop but it'll work out for the better anyway because my Dad's getting on in his age and can't do all the things that he wants to around his house. So while I'm over there getting prodjects done for hin I will be able to work on it a couple hours here and there will be a lot easier than trying to find a half a day or a full day to go to the shop to work on it

I like it a lot - not because it's a mashup but because it makes perfect sense.

thank you , it's definitely one of those bills were someone either really likes it or thinks it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of on the face of the Earth. But doing something different doesn't always appeal to everybody and I'm fine with that

I get that - Pirate labeled my build (yes, the avatar) the dumbest build ever. *shrug* build what you want.... trolls will always be trolls.

lol is there any post on pirate that doesn't deteriorate into a childish ,name calling ,internet troll, keyboard warrior , caps lock rant .
Do you have a link for your build I would like to see what this dumbest build ever is

I see you've experienced their specialness too... I'm not sure I could find the thread anymore.... I think it was called FJ40verland more questions then answers.... I think, but it's truly been years - when they got hacked, I had signed up for Pirate when it started in 98, the email associated with it was dead; I never fixed the log in. To say I wasn't motivated to going back would be an understatement. I came to the conclusion they were special. Like short-bus special. All their rigs are painted yellow and have 118" wheelbase.... just like the short buses they love ;)

heyyyyyy my jeep is a 118" lol
Do you have any sort of build thread for your fj40 here?

This thing looks pretty cool man!

D

thanks guys . next steps are rear shock tower , cut the floorboard out to make clearance for the second T case shifter which unfortunately is right on top of the factory seat Mount so I'll have to redo that. Build a new transfer case Mount so I can put the front Driveline in and front shock mounts that I can give it a real minor Shakedown run to make sure everything cycles and works like it should then pull it back apart do all my finish welding and plating then start getting it all the finalization of tucking up wires and all that little stuff
