The suspension rides really well plenty of flex I don't think I lifted a wheel at all during the trip only thing that's a bit bad is the body roll around corners on road but it'll teach me to keep slow so I keep my licence.

Nah we just bought bits an pieces from different places the front leaves we got from a wreckers for $150 and looked up the code on them and they were efs 3in comfort leaves then the front and rear shackles I bought off of an eBay store for $200 an we've just left the stock rear leaves in

not sure what it is but while on the highway I was driving along and started hearing a beep coming from the dash so I slowed down and it stops it only comes on over 105kmh and turns off when you go slower than that would it be some sort of over speed indicator or something

Its a Japanese speed sensor,I forget where it is but I know others on this forum have tracked it down and removed it.
Looks like it down alongside your left leg under the dash

Yeah I'm not too fussed over the beep just wanted to make sure it wasn't something bad I just turn the radio up went out wheeling today and I just can't say how much I love this thing fourwheeldriving the only thing that's been a problem is the diff hitting stiff an getting hooked up but other than that its awesome will post some pics later

The over speed beeper is a little 2" plastic box located above your left knee under the dash. If I remember correctly without looking it has a little bit of foam over the speaker opening. Just pull the wires off and your done

Just a quick question my cruisers got a clunking noise coming from the steering box I think something's broken internally my mate has a troopy which is a donor for his Ute just wondering if they will be the same or are they different and just wondering if the rear diff in these things are an LSD thanks

Check the ID tag on the firewall for all the specs your truck has. If the axle code says K085 then it's an LSD. Mine is.

As or the clunking I'm sure Rosco will be able to tell you what's wrong. I sure can't. I don't see why the troopy can't donate it's steering box - if it's a 75 series. WHy don't you sight them to make sure they're the same?

Steering Boxes are interchangeable, I have a 91 troopy box on my 86 BJ74, check out the clunking though its likely to be coming from the springs moving as you steer.

I'm not sure take it out an have a look if it isn't put an autolocker in and you will.

On the weekend I bought a second hand set of 33" bighorns on brand new sunraysias (not sure if right spelling) with a spare they all have over 50% tread for $400 pretty good score

Had to test them out in the back yard and worked out bigger tyres=worse bogged

And I went down to a 4x4 park near beaudesert called cityview and was yet again surprised at what it got thru I didn't find anything it couldn't get up
The new wheels are perfect don't scrub anywhere except the inside of the rear wheel arches

My next upgrade will probably be an auto locker in the front and a rear bar

IMO you would be better off with a rear locker.

I will eventuallyget an air or electric locker for the rear when I run into a lot of money autolockers are cheap and I know how to install one just I don't want it to be engaged while driving normally cause there noisey

Have a look at second hand air lockers, I bought both mine well used, recently saw a air locker on ebay go for $300-400 installed in a centre. You might have a problem getting a air locker for yours here in aus since you have a SF rear end, especially a used one, all Aussie ones are full float rear ends.

I ended up doing Duck Creek Rd [did a write-up in Trails - Events - Expedition section] but I'm keen for Cityview after that vid. I have a 2" lift, 31's, LSD rear. Seen any trucks with a similar setup to mine getting through?
