At the moment the Ranchos seem fine, The car itself rides and handles great with them compared to the old nitro chargers that were in it and the open and closed lenths are longer each than we need so we wont be topping out the shocks or bottoming out on the shock before the bump stop. As long as they last him a year i cant see them being a problem.. They were dirt cheap and he's trying to keep it to a cheap build. What are the problems etc with rwnchos? Btw i love the shackles in that pic.

I finally with the help of my brother finished the front bar just have to paint it this afternoon and mount it tomorrow and it should look pretty good on it I'm just painting it black nothing to special because it will just get scratched anyway here's a pic of what it looked like after we welded the wings on it.
Thanks I put the bar on today aswell as bought a new muffler and welded up the holes in the exhaust and replaced the muffler hoping to get it roadworthy'd by about Wednesday and registered by Friday and then on Sunday ill probly go for a wheel in it and see how I go for my first time fourwheel driving anyway some pics

Got a few plans I might do to it after a while of me driving it since the paints looking a bit s***ty in spots I'm going to take the stickers off and get it resprayed the same colour just so it looks a bit better but I have to make roadworthy and sell my other car ( the one that helped me lose my licence.) To fund this also some bigger tyres will be coming when cashflow permits I'm on apprentice wages hence why my builds been a fairly low budget build
Also will be needing a new windscreen surround which ill replace the seals on the frp top when I do that and will be removing the rear two piece slide windows and replace with one piece perspex ( the people in the back seat can get over it ) because the frames rusted to bits an windows won't move anyway, also a draw setup will be getting made to sit underneath the rear seat so I have somewhere to stick tools and crap
Anyone had experience with the frp windscreen surrounds seems good but not sure what their like strengthwise
Also since I thought we did pretty well at making that front plate bar I'm thinking we might try a rear plate bar an will have to knock up some sliders so I don't damage the sill or I just leave the war torn steps on there an give em a beating...
Had a bit of trouble getting a roady cause it didn't have a compliance plate but I found the info that should have been on the plate and got it registered I get my licence back on Sunday so ill report back with pics of my first 4x4 trip
Ok well I've been driving it for three days so far and couldn't be happier with it plenty of go from the old 13bt when you need it didn't end up going wheeling on the weekend was a bit too wet was kinda dissapointed also my mechanic said that the water pump will be on its way out soon so keep an eye on the temp gauge which unfortunately is the only gauge that doesn't work I replaced the temp sender unit but still doesn't work any other ideas what it may be/what I can try to fix it I'm no good with electrics head units and speakers are about as far as I go with that stuff but I'm over all happy with my Bj74 just itching to go wheeling see how well it goes
I finally got to go fourwheel driving an it was fun but extremely tough work I had footage from two gopro cameras but unfortunately after ten or so minutes the lenses on both cameras fogged up so there's no video I only got a few photos but I had the smallest wheels out of everyone and the least lift so I was struggling but I made it everywhere with a few snatch strap helps but here's a few photos.
