nah i dont have the front sway bar in took it off when i pulled the diff out an just forgot about it when we put it back together

and thats just in a play area in there its relatively easy at cityview unless you try the harder stuff i got up a track that two comp trucks went up nobody i was with would try it so i did and surprisingly i made it with alot of effort

and you probably have a better setup except for the 31''s wish i had an lsd would make life easier,

ill upload two other videos from there tomorrow of the harder stuff i did so you can see what its like i went just after it had rained so it was quite slippery

ill be going there next weekend i was sposed to go today but got ditched and didnt want to go alone

Considering putting a Ute roof and back on my cruiser because I don't have a rear seat and make it into a styleside mwb Ute, I can get the roof and rear Ute panel off of a mate an he also has a spare set of troopy rear doors I can cut the windows off I won't be doing it for a while as ill have to get new seals for everything and need a couple days off to fit it I've seen a couple comp truck 74s with this setup and it looks pretty good and will be unique any thoughts.....?

Does yours have the factory bar inside? Mine doesn't but if yours does it will probably need some type of bar to keep it roadworthy. I know it's easy up here in QLD to do all the mods you want and worry about their roadworthiness when it comes time to sell but I'd keep it all legal. In fact you may even want to make a bar just in case you do put it on its lid.

There used to be a 75s troopy in Cairns that had the exact mod you;re planning and it looked soooo good. They cut it quite high up on the body, had the half doors on the back, ute roof [not the troopy high roof], pewter coloured bumper, paint no to different to yours but a deeper brown and metallic, 16 x 8 alloys that looked at home on a semi etc. I think they welded a piece of flat sheet across the top of the cut and then added formed alloy chequer-plate to protect it. The whole truck was class. I say do it.

Yeah but with a bigger rear screen. Make the screen fill up that hole.

Took me a while to find my build haven't done much to it for a while but I'm getting the gear ready to do the Ute chop and just wondering if anyone that's had their frp off would know if the roll bar sort of thing just unbolts or is it a part of the actual body Idont really wanna cut anything so it can be reverted back to original

Also bought a Spartan auto locker for the front diff and some diff armour cause most of the wheeling I do is on rocks and in about a month I will buy one for the rear diff

ive seen one done like this somewhere before they do look good but my plan was to do away with the frp top altogether and use the rear panel off of a ute and a ute roof and then make a panel for the headboard of the tub to seal the cab up again but im going to postpone that plan for a while

yeah im gunna wait a bit so i might weld up a cage too and while im at it i want to re-run the exhaust inside the chassis rails so i can make some sliders up so i dont damage the sills

Not my 'cruiser, but I think the ad said it was a middy body mounted on an 80 series chassis running an ls1.

I finally got my locker and diff armour from locktup4x4



unfortunately the diff armours the wrong size for some reason they had it down for a hzj75 which I thought was the same 9.5" diff as what's in my 74 but it looks like its for an 8" diff which is alright cause my brother and I just bought a hilux project an 84' model single cab and putting a 89' model extra cab on it

HJ75 and 60 series have the big diff, HZJ75 are 8'' diff like you have found out.

Did they go 'down' to the R151 behind the HZ or did they stay with the H55?
