Same week, took the GX in to replace the driver side outer RCV boot, which the Team also found that my driver side inner boot could use replacement as well, so, now I’ve replaced 7 CV boots in one year 🥹.
Man I know stuff breaks when you wheel but I feel like RCV stuff is too expensive to go through like that. Maybe they need to add another bellow in their cv boots or something.

Yeah, it's an ongoing conversation with RCLT owners. Biggest negative with going RCV axles with RCLT. Some have changed their axles to CVJ to alleviate the torn CV boots. Myself, I'd rather rip boots than break axles.

Got my rebuilt RadFlo LT rear shocks back from RadFlo. Had both the rods replaced, both the lower eyelet links replaced, and revalved for slower speed crawling versus high speed heavy (Old valving. Got these from SandyCats).

Also, finally opened an Amazon package I got a while back. I purchased DIY weldable Shock Reservoir Brackets, but the brackets were designed for 2-2.5” reservoirs. Mine are 2.5”, but have additional cooling fins. So, I brought the shocks into work and used the shop press to adjusted the curvature to fit the fins of the reservoirs. Easy peasy. Just gotta weld them in place and hit them with Steel It.

Also, I ordered some Apex Designs quick deflate valves on Sunday June 9th and they arrived on Wednesday June 12th. Decided to use these, because I still want to use my TPMS and I don’t want to drill into these KMC Mesa wheels right now. So, I purchased the TPMS adapters from Apex Designs as well. Considered getting Power Tank Monster Valves, because they’re a local business to me, but I didn’t want to drill into the wheel just yet. Maybe later…

What?? You have a shop to use?? Awesome!
Out of curiosity what did your shocks cost to rebuild? My Icon's run about $1200 (if I remember right) for both front, but including R&R too. Drove up to Off Road Warehouse and came back next, all done and aligned. I have to do that every 3 years or so.

Kind of. It’s a fab shop at work, but I don’t normally bring personal stuff in. My rears cost $858. That’s replacing both rods, lower ends (eyelets), other misc parts replaced, and revalve.

Replaced front and rear brake rotors and pads with the same stuff. EBC slotted rotors and Yellow Stuff pads. Also test fitted the KMCs. Can’t wait!!!

Finally installed the Voltage Booster Pro I bought two years ago. Pictured is the switch in low mode, which I ended up having to open the fuse box again to put the switch in high mode. In low mode, I was still seeing voltage around 13.x, but after I switched the switch to high mode, I’m seeing voltage at 14.x.

Also, installed an EcoFlow Alternator Charger to quick charge an EcoFlow Delta 2 Max while on the road, so I can use the EcoFlow Wave2 Air Conditioner on this upcoming road trip.

This thing is a game changer. I’m already running a RedArc BCDC1250D 50 amp charger with a 100ah BattleBorn Lithium Battery in the back, but adding the EcoFlow components adds redundancy and almost makes my Dual Battery setup obsolete, but hey, I love redundancy and I think I’ll make best use of the new setup. Should be great.

For reference:
Dual Battery Setup
- RedArc BCDC1250D. Charges up to 600watts.
- BattleBorn 100ah Lithium. 1,200 watt capacity.
- RedArc 1000watt Inverter.
- KickAss Power Station Battery Box.
- BougeRV 100 watt (x2) CIGS Solar Panels. So, total of 200 watts of Solar to top off battery.

EcoFlow Setup
- EF Alternator Charger. Chargers up to 800 watts. With key features of: Reverse charging (to charge your starter battery) and Battery Maintenance (to trickle charge 100 watts (to maintain your starter battery).
- EF Delta 2 Max. 2048 watts and up to 2,400 watt Inverter with a surge up to 4,800 watts. Also there’s a feature called “X-Boost) to be able to run 3400 watts continuously, but it’ll kill power fast.

Finally swapped my BFG KM3s over to the new to me KMC Mesa Monoblock Forged Beadlock Wheels. These KM444 wheels are so much lighter than my old setup!!!

Got one also. The first one I put in the wrong socket and fried my ECU.
Now that it's in the right socket, my battery keeps at about 14.6 to 14.8 volts when driving.
Love it!

What did you do with your old wheels?
They're in the garage. I think my buddy with a F150 wants to pick them up.

Whoa, so much to post. Had a 3 week trip. Check it out!!!

Spent the first night of the trip camping at the Bonneville Salt Flats area on the border of Nevada and Utah.

Passenger Rear brake hard line ruptured (previous damage was from Moab last year, finally ruptured). Luckily, NAPA was 4 blocks away from the Yellowstone West entrance. Was able to purchase new line, bend it and install. Good to go. Got all kinds of looks from traffic passerbyers 😄.

Made it out to Grand Teton for a night of camping before we depart from our friends who were only doing the Yellowstone/Grand Teton part of the trip.

The GX pics/story are great but this astrophotography shot is spectacular, do you have a full-res version? Could be a wallpaper...
