Another one of those nifty little extras that 80s got in other markets.
Fitted the cubby in my 97 FZJ this afternoon.
Straight bolt up 1/4  job.
Toyota calls it "Box, Warning Reflector"
but it fits tool bag with some extra room in the end for other stuff.
No more scrunching the bag up with the jack and getting dripped on from window trim leakage.

Well.. there you go, it's back in the spotlight anyway.
Pretty hard to get one up on that Cruiser Dan guy.
74797-60010 and shows up on my US parts disc
$73 retail. Call Cdan.

Weird. Non of the 4 HDJ81s I have in the back yard have any more than what I installed in the above pics.
Post a pic of your set up.

My sincere apologies. I posted that while on my lunch break, and after I got home I was cleaning out the back of my truck, and it does indeed look exactly like yours.

Well almost the same, I have a lot more crap crammed in there :)

I installed one of these today; 10 minutes and 3 bolts. It is the perfect size for holding my booster cables up and out of the way but still easily accessible behind the door for the jack and tool kit. One more step in my never ending struggle to keep the trunk somewhat clean and organized! :D

hmm, I dont think they will fit "the worlds most expensive jumper cables" :flipoff2:

Don't know about all that, but my 25' jumper cables fit there nicely and bone dry. That window trim leakage is really easy to fix - if that's where the water is coming from. Carefully pop the trim off with a screwdriver and 1st clean up the crud that's accumulated. then replace the old worn out sleeves on the tabs with a good coating of RTV or your favorite silicone gasket maker seal. Let it "skin" for about 15 min. and then pop trim back into place.

I just got one of these. Pretty nice little storage area. Not sure why this wasn't standard issue.
