Appreciate the vids. Did the front speakers and the running boards based on ur vids. Nice to know the tools needed before starting and not having to make a run to the store. I.e, adjustable 1/4 inch ratchet for the running boards.

Sub install next. Was planning on just taking off a sub speaker cover and unplugging (hadn’t looked) for the time being, then saw the whole plastic piece in back has to come off. The cool of fall will see this done, it was way to hot to deal with that this summer.

You can unplug the subwoofer by the removing the ashtray. There is a plug directly behind it that you can unplug the subwoofer. Much easier than taking off the entire panel.

I had the same problem with the buzz in the front doors after I changed my speakers. I must have taken the door panel off 4 or 5 times until I finally figured it out. The factory cloth covering the speakers when the panel was on wasn’t allowing enough airflow, so I removed the cloth. Underneath the cloth is a plastic speaker cover that doesn’t look that bad. The spray glue holding it on is impossible to get off, so I painted all my covers. I reinstalled and the buzz was gone.
On another note I did add Dynamat later on, but that wasn’t to solve the buzz at the speaker grille, just to quiet down the rest of the sounds inside the door. It definitely took away the remaining “tinny” sound coming from the doors. The pic is with the cloth removed.
Hope that helps!
