Thanks for sharing your story! I recently joined the GCC Club with a 2000 model year UZJ100 in VXR trim. It replaces a 70 Series wagon but I needed something larger and "more civilized" for family (grandson in kid seat, airbags, etc.) - photoa below. It arrived in US with a friend's 1999 FZJ100 in GX trim (@wngrog).
GCC Land Cruisers are growing in popularity here and it is great to connect with owners in the region. I really appreciate your commitment to the truck and stock configuration!
Please keep sharing your stories.

Hello there @wardharris!

Really appreciate you sharing those beautiful photos , you’ve got some incredibly clean examples there.
And I have to say, seeing those Saudi camping bags in the back genuinely made me smile… I never expected to see them anywhere outside of home!

I haven’t been very active on the forum lately, so thank you for your post, it was the push I needed to jump back in. Part of the reason I wasn’t posting much about the LC is that I was using it mainly for daily commuting over the summer, and with the heat here, there wasn’t much outdoor activity happening anyway.

But now that winter’s arrived, I’ve kicked off Part 2 of the project. The LC is currently at the paint shop getting prepped for a fresh new coat.

I'm a bit behind schedule but here are some teaser photos:

I have some rust to deal with but nothing major, I'm changing the color and keeping it surprise as it might be a bit controversial for our LC culture 😂

Your truck, you rules.Bring it! 🤣😎👍

True true 😂

But we have a saying in Arabic that goes something like: Eat however you like, and dress according to people’s taste...
Balance is good 👍

Reveal coming very soon 👀

Good advice!

Paint job finally done!

Now remaining is assembly,

here is a sneak peak of the color until it's fully assembled:

Also had a visit to the LC candy shop and got some goodies:

I'm going back to the roots, and converting the Grill + headlights + tail-lights back to the 1999 look.

I may have gotten a bit carried away with the new color, but here it is 😅

I was after a dark green, something deeper than OEM Imperial Jade Mica. To me, Imperial Jade always leaned a bit too blue-green, and that just wasn’t my vibe. The goal was a green that changes character throughout the day: really comes alive during golden hour, but gets dark enough at night that it almost looks black.

In my opinion, the LC100 only really works in light, neutral colors like white or silver, or in very dark shades like black or dark blue. Anything in between just feels off. This dark green hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with how it turned out, it keeps catching my eye at different times of the day, and judging by the double-takes on the street, I’m not the only one.
