I've got my hash pipe.....

I was doing some disassembly last night and found this behind the dash when I pulled it off. Looks to be some sort of hand rolled cigerette with metal device to hold the special cigerette?? The metal piece is burnt on the end so I can only assume someone has used it??? :p

I think with this find and the hash pipe I should be good for a while. ;)

It`s a wise decision if you have less or zero roos in Minnesota.;)

Cheers
Peter

We've got plenty of white tail deer up in my area, and people mow those down fairly often with there car. I would assume they weigh about the same as a kangaroo??

That pic of the roo bar doesn't do it justice. It was fairly scabbed up with chicken sh#t welds all over it. The way it mounted was pretty hokey as well. It really wasn't worth keeping.

Aussies love to mix their weed with tobacco for some reason ... or at least that's what I remember from my younger, free-spirited, traveling days ;)

Good thing Customs did not sick one of their dope dogs
on your troopy.... Dog would have runied his teeth
trying to bite into your dash! :smokin::smokin:

Few more pics, I'm actually about a week or 2 behind here on pics, so going to try to catch up in the next couple days. I haven't really done to much to speak of yet anyway, but I am slowing moving ahead in the direction I want to go.

Like most troopy's in AU, at least the one's I looked at, they are all, "camper'd" up to some extent. This one was no exception, it had the full Bob Villa package in the back. Whoever took the time to put all that in did do a fairly proffesional job..if your into that sort of thing. But, I am not so it had to come out. It took a solid 2 evenings of unbolting and cutting out the metal frame work someone had welded up to support all that chub. But, as you can see from the pics...the before and after. Still some carpet fur left over from the adhesive that was holding it in, but for the most part it is all out.

I've thought of that as well, I think I dodged a bullet on the, "intensive exam". :)

Subscribed...and welcome back!

How do the floor pans look? Is this going to be another welding marathon?

Thanks! I was never gone, always just lurking in the back ground. Life just got a little busier for me. ;)

Floor pans are rock solid. There really is very little welding that needs to be done at all. Although......I am not going to be using this tub. This particular body will be for sale in the near future. :)

Hmm, nothing like a little mystery. Are you keeping the engine? How many km's on it?

Let's think about this. Bring in the CSI team. What are you up to on this troopy that you are not using the tub? We know you create wild things from very standard items. You have made a chopper out of a street bike. The hot rod was awesome. So, the facts are that you wanted a diesel, (very specific about that). Wanted a great frame to work with.

Hmmm, I've got it. Are you going to turn this Troopy from down under into the parade float from Animal House?? The deathmobile!!

This is going to be fun to watch.

Got to subscribe to this one also.

Been waiting for this day to come. I knew you would have to build something soon.

Five stars and all he did was pull off a bull bar...

OK, we know what to expect and the rig is nice enough to ruffle any content feathers one might have so that merits the stars as well..

As for the body being available my guess is a non ferrous alternative or maybe some sort of four door...

Congrats on a nice troopy.

Hmmmm. There was a LHD Troopy body at SOR....Did it find a new home? Or are you doing something totally custom?

I didn't buy the SOR tube. There will be a little customization, but not to much. ;)

yep, keeping the stock 2H. This motor had about 300,000 km's, runs extremely strong!!

A couple of things about South Australia

G'day Matt,

I thought you might be interested in a couple of facts about South Australia.

1. It is the driest state on the driest continent on earth. So the truck should be relatively rust free.
2. They also have the most liberal cannabis laws in the country. You can grow 10 plants for personal possession and smoking weed is not a criminal offence.
3. They make great wine.

Cheers,

Ben

P.S. They don't get much done in South Australia, but they are generally a pretty happy bunch.

So far all the bolts on this rig have come out fairly easy. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that it hasn't been exposed to much moisture.

I haven't found much more of the wacky tabaccy to equal 10 plants, but I am getting closer.

I've been stripping the troopy down the last couple evenings, unfortunetly I have not found a bottle of wine yet....but, there's still hope. ;)
