mud is all kind of edimicashinall. I can't remember which bedliner it was that I thought hard about doing...it was a rough finish, rol on and tintable(that ought to narrow it down for ya! I get a tab jealous at the finish and coverage, but then again, I'm always welding something, so I have resigned myself to primer/paint. It makes recoverage easy for when the cancer comes back(rust never sleeps)

So, on a side note, all of the tires on the truck were different brands (same size) when I bought the truck. A guy in my local club happened to have 3 that match 1 of my tires. Ya know, for a Jeep guy he's pretty cool.

Funny you bring that up. Shelby is turning 5 on Feb 3rd and she wants to go to the snow for her birthday so I might be going up with you guys. Really need to get the heaters blower motor working.

where ya guys goin? BaldMt?

I was able to give Pumba (gave the pig a name) some TLC yesterday. Wife was at work, the girls were at daycare and I had the day off

- took the non-functioning KC lights off and removed all the associated wiring and switch (I'll try and clean them up and get them working again).
- removed the wiring and switch for the fog lights as well, I will be rewiring those.
- put a new plug on the block heater, not sure if the block heater is working though

- changed out the blower motor just to find out the old one works fine. PO had rigged it up some funky way with a KC light switch. I rewired the fan through the original harness and it works! PO may have been confused on how to work it, I know I was. You have the vent/recirculate selector like most older vehicles you slide it back and forth. On the pig you slide it to select vent/recirculate and you pull on that to get the fan to come on! Cool!
- pulled out about 10' of non-OE wiring that wasn't connected to anything on either end so it looks a lot less clutered now.
- and changed out the fuel filter/water seperator
:bounce2:

Sounds like you're getting a good handle on everything. Plug your block heater in tonight and tomorrow morning feel the block, it should warm.

lol, on my first cruiser, i pulled out twice the amount of previous owner hacked wiring than i installed and i added four sets of lights and a stereo to a stock rig.

Yep, it works. Heck, next time I'm in the dog house I'ma grab a pillow and sleep under the truck. Pretty dang warm. :hhmm: wonder how bad PG$E is going to rape me; think there's a discount for "plug in" vehicles?

I use the block heaters on my diesel tractor and pickups, but someone told me they use alot of electric, so I wouldn't keep them pluged in all the time.

how many watts/volts...

Got this from a diesel tech forum, "OEM heater is a low wattage (40 or 60 watts) unit that goes in a frost plug hole...".
So that would be equivilant to leaving a 40-60 watt bulb on all night.

edit: Ok, I have very little knowledge of electrical but if I'm somewhat correct then at 60w = 60wh. I use it roughly 10hrs so that would be 60w x 10hrs = 600wh =0.600 kWh. PG$E has a tiered system so I have no clue what tier I'm at. I guestimated between 0.13c-0.15c an hour. 0.600kWh x 0.13c = roughly 0.08c a day? Anybody?

Actually I'd question the 40-60 watt rating. Most automotive block heaters are around 600-750 watts. Big truck ones are 1500.
When i was living with a friend and we both plugged in our pickups, we would cringe when the xcel bill showed ip
