I love this build, it is almost exactly like what we did with our 1957 Mercury. My wife mentioned the other day how much she regrets us selling it.

I do have a question though, why is the thermostat mounted so high?
It seems like you would get pretty cold before it kicked the heat on.

She's coming out great Koffer..man..the small stuff takes time.

You gonna be around next week....maybe mid-week evening?

Keep up the good work!!

Pat

I mounted the Tstat there as it was the only place that wasnt too low or an outside wall .
I would rather have it high and out of the way as the furnace is low and since its a high BTU unit it really moves the air around so all should be good .

4/3 , 4/4

did a bunch more , but nothing like Nick (Atoyot1031) whos just blew thru his pop up rebuild .
Only one pix as it getting dark inside it now , and my camera skills suck
The Cruiser :princess: picked up some pillows that were on sale for $3.99 a pop while at Kohls when she was shopping for work cloths on friday :D
She also helped get the last full sheet of inside roofing set for finale install.

Pulled the fresh water tank out the donor pop up and test fit . Finished the bed platform by cutting a new piece of 3/4 ply to make up the double to queen width and installed support legs under it .
I worked on all the nagging little stuff that needed tying up and ordered what I'm hoping is the last small parts .
This weeks plan is to cut all the panels for the cabinet frames and get some coats of spar urethrae on them . out of all the parts with this project its the most time burning part as I'm putting on 4 coats so thats 4 days waiting for parts to dry . :frown:

Now for the one lonely pix (but showing the new pillows too :p )

5/1

Today got most of the propane gas lines run and tested . I got one leak that I need to address . I only flared 2 joints without the flare nut on before hand
I still need to run the high pressure line for the outside cook top .
Mounted and wired the water pump, put the cabinet fronts and sides on that were ready .
Mounted, wired and tested the gas leak detector.
Test ran the furnace to make sure it was wired right, would light and safety shut off was working correctly .
Checked the fridge for both the A/C, D/C and gas functions are working.
Mounted and wired the hood range ,sink light and right side cabinet light .
Installed all LED panels in the inside lights .
I need to get a 90 deg fitting so I can mount the Humphey gas light inside .

I may work on replacing the rear cross channel tomorrow in the rear as the old one is sagging on the ends ,mount the water tank under the bed and plumb it . and poss. frame the rear window

The hardest thing left is Ive got to do is find a spare rim to fit this or bite the bullet and get a new axle made , plus new tires and rims :frown:

Pixs tomorrow I hope

Nice job on the rebuild. You're putting in some serious time to build it the way you want.

Any updates?

Any updates?

slow going but still working at it , no real pix stuff as I ordered the replacement axle last week , got my new rims and baby moons too .
Just got back from DE and did some tax free shopping picked up 3 tires and some brake stuff and other goodies at Trailer Parts Superstore - Recreational, Commercial & Industrial Equipment .
I also got some of the flexible plastic outdoor molding 1x2 that will work perfect for the rounded edges where there was a 1x2 piece of wood that had to have relief cuts in it so .
I'm hoping to hit it hard next week after work and on the weekend .

Hey Todd,

Let me know if you need a hand...I need to take a break from grinding...lol

looking good:clap:

Pat :beer::beer:

The axle came in yesterday so it got a coat of paint this morning (today is 65 and low humidity while yesterday was 95 with 95% so the paint would have been dry about the same time this morning if I painted it last night )
I also mounted the tires on the rims so this week I'll mount the axle and pull the trailer out of the garage and put water sealer on the bare wood that will be under the alloy skin that way if some water does get under skin it wont soak into the wood and screw it up .
while that happening I'm going to wire brush and paint the frame .

so just one pix of the goodies
