Heres a couple of pixs so you have a idea .

Thanks

Now that I've found one I'm changing this into a build up thread that's somewhat different then the norm here

Parts

Well I found a salvage yard that gets RVs and Travel trailers so I picked this monster up with everything I need to update the other trailer .
I got it for cheap just the 3 way refrigerator and inverter in it is the same amount of $$$ if I had to buy new .
Its like brand new inside
The one bunk still has the plastic on the mattress , the cook top inside has never been used . a/c works . I found the outside cook top in it Looks like the heater has never been used, has a CO and LP detectors and a bunch of little stuff that would nickel and dime me to death if I had to buy it one at a time .
:hhmm:Just in time for winter project # 827

I didnt even clean it up before these pixs .
I checked to make sure everything was worked before I take it out . that way I know I'm the one who screwed up when I install everything into the new trailer .
The stove has never been used inside just the outside one which is a high pressure unit that was a little funky but cleaned up well with some oxyclean

I'm going to keep everything in it till I'm ready to move it over so I'm not tripping over/loosing the little $$$ stuff

If you want to part with any of the matresses or cushions let me know...I'm looking for a matress 5' wide (Queen) and some cushions for a fold down in the new build.

Thanks, Pat

Hey Pat
The king sized mattress is going into the new one . the other one is a double.
I'll have to look and see what the others come out to in size .

starting rehab

This weekend I was able to get the garage cleaned up enough no only to get this thing in but also have room to work around it too :D

I started removing the inside cabnets and other things in the way .
I now wonder how this thing lasted this long without burning to the ground or frying someone
the PO wiring was just a plain nightmare bare 110v lines just tucked into the walls right next to the aluminum skin , 12v stuff run with speaker wire and a 2amp radio shack converter that would overload if you tried anything other then one light at a time. plus what looked like a 50s scifi movie prop relay/fuse/WTF is that thing? under the seat .
Now we'll move onto the scary "flame in a box" heater that was discoed some time ago since the asbestos wrapped /covered flue pipe/heat exchanger was fully clogged with wasps nests but had been used for a while as some of them were burned .
Before that just sticking the flue against the wall with a ruff cutout smaller then the pipe will do
I removed the icebox and found what would be a rodent nest that filled a full garbage bag , nasty is not even close to what that was .

As I pulled all this stuff out ,the wood got burned and the rest has been given to the landfill

So if I don't die from the Hantavirus in a few days or develop tetanus in a couple of weeks, I'm sure the asbestos will catch up to me in 25 years

Heres some pixs so far

This is going to be an adventure since to replace the inside walls you need to remove all the roof , then the outside skin take the said walls off the frame and go from there .
Its alot more work but it is opening up to be one hell of a fun build as I'll now be able to really make it what I want :hhmm:

I took her top off :grinpimp:
and she was hiding a world of hurt
heres some of the rot I found
The roof is off from front to back ,
next will be drilling all the heads off the screws on the bottem of the wall then they are next to to come off .
