Is this an OK deal on 2011 GX Premium?

I wouldn't say that Semi Aniline is more durable than Nuluxe, in fact I'd say the opposite. I have owned a lot of Toyota's/Lexus's with both and the only advantage to the Semi Aniline IMHO is texture and comfort. NuLuxe is a lot more durable and easier to clean, it holds up to wear and tear without showing distress as much as real leather. Semi Aniline is the more traditional leather and Nuluxe being the plastic fantastic poly pseudo-leather textile.
Agreed. That is my one gripe on my gx - leather had not held up like other cars I have had, though it is certainly comfortable

UPDATE ON GX: The dealer started to negotiate and got back to me and dropped the price $1200 this is good thing right? 3-4 days ago I would have gone to dealer and purchased it. Why am I holding back?

2 days ago I had a meeting with my largest account and their business is way down and they are looking at all costs. I move truckload business for them and I had to drop rates to the level where there is almost no profit. I think this is going to have a huge impact on my income it will drop for sure I just don't know how much. The trucking industry is in a mess right now with skyrocketing rates, hard to get trucks, shortage on drivers and other problems. I just don't think it makes sense to spend any money right now. I think I better enjoy my FJ and see what shakes out.

I believe that is called Murphy’s Law... sucks man. I hope things change for the better quickly. You are obviously right in holding onto cash at this time. Best of luck.

Yeah it sucks! I have been doing this a long time and there have been many ups and downs but right now it is the worst I have seen it in 12-13 years. Maybe down the road I will look at picking up a 2014-2016 so it will all work out.

Well, if you're really savvy, you could go ahead and purchase that GX, enjoy it for a couple of months and with how hot the GX market is right now, turn around and sell it with maybe making a little profit on it!

I did kind of think this also, I thought it is a pretty good deal now get it and see how things go with my company. I am kind of conservative when it comes to money and thought better of it. I don't know I am still thinking on what to do.

With all due respect, don't think on it too long... It seams these rigs don't stay on the market very long.

^ This. 1~3 days seem to be the time period these have on dealer lots. Sometimes only hours if the price is good

I know I hear you guys loud and clear, if my business didn't tank with the news I got this week it would be sitting in my driveway by now.
It just isn't the right time for me now; it looks like my income will drop more than 50%.

No worries, understandable. Do what best for you and your family.

For what its worth, I paid 22.5k for my 2012 base with 90k miles this past summer at a Lexus dealer in Las Vegas. Super clean 2 owner truck with no rust. Complete service history all at Lexus dealers. Previous owner also did trans flush at 60k and diffs and tcase at 30k intervals. I thought the price was high but it was actually way nicer than a 14 and 16 I looked at. I also like the front end better on this 12 than the newer trucks. I dont daily drive it so miles wont increase too much. I'll add some BFG KO2s and some sliders and roof rack. I use it for towing my small Casita RV trailer and light off roading.

I hope things work out for you. I understand what you are going through.

Rock the FJC for a few more years while your business levels off and then you can buy my 2019 fully built out when it hits 80K miles so that I can go grab a new Bronco lol.

I hope I can rock the FJ for a few mores years and maybe go grab a Bronco for myself! I am a Ford guy and my 2016 F150 just got totaled during a storm in Aug when we had 105PH winds and and my machine shed fell on it. It has been a crappy couple of months for us but it will get better.

Same here, Ford through and through, though I have had my fair share of Toyota/Lexus products and even a few Dodge trucks thrown in the mix as well. I'll be getting back into a Ford next year, hopefully a Tremor but it'll be a F-250 diesel regardless. This is the last one I plan to buy so I am going to keep it simple and clean in hopes of it sticking around for 15-20 years. The GX will likely get replaced with a Bronco if all goes according to plan.

Do you have your Bronco reserved? I do but I am way down list so it probably will be 2022 before I see one. I think what I probably will do it just wait awhile and pick one up used in 3-4 years.

No, I passed on reserving one. I'll wait until the second or third year model and buy one off the lot. I am in no rush and I won't even know if it'll be a legit replacement that I will enjoy until I sit in and drive one. I have purchased first year model vehicles in the past and I won't ever do that again and I'd also like to wait for the diesel motor to launch as well. Let the aftermarket catch up to it and by then Ford will have worked out all of the bugs and the new will have worn off so you won't be overpaying for one either.

I still have a year or more of mods left to do to the GX so I'd like to get this build finished and enjoy it for a year or two before I consider sending it on down the road. I'll hopefully have a new Super Duty Tremor in the garage next year to build and modify which will help distract me for a while as well lol.

I agree with a lot of what you say. I want to get a new style F150 but I never like to buy the first year remodel. So hopefully in 2023 I can pick one of those up. I sure hope the Bronco is a legit replacement because I always wanted a Jeep but could never bring myself to pull the trigger on one. It appears the Bronco will blow the Jeep away in many categories.

The Super Duty Tremor sounds like a good idea; what mods do you think you will do?

After owning multiple Jeeps over 20 years I’d have a hard time buying another. I dig the Gladiator Rubicon but I know better than to flirt with another lol.

I am hoping that the Bronco is everything that they claim it’ll be too. I have high hopes but my biggest concern is the size. If it’s any smaller than the GX I’m out, it’s as simple as that.

I’ve had four Super Duty’s over the years and I’ve always been very happy with those trucks and after owning a Power Wagon I’ve been longing for a Ford version and the Tremor makes that possible.
I’ll likely do a small Carli lift, 37’s, bumpers and a winch and drop down steps. I plan to keep this one for a while so I’d like to keep it simple and still relatively useful for towing. I’m not all that interested in turning it into an HD overland rig like I once was pursuing.
