Is this an OK deal on 2011 GX Premium? (1 Viewer)

Fluid Film, yes. Bedliner, no.

Also, that’s not a bad deal. I have a feeling prices will continue to climb for a while.
I have had pretty good luck w/ Fluid Film on my F150 it was 4 years old and looked great on the frame and undercarriage.

I think it is an OK deal it is in Great Condition. It has been frustrating in that they have only come off $300 so far and said they would take $500 off it I purchased today.

That looks like it would be relatively easy to clean up.
How would you clean it up? I heard about a paint that you cover up rust and it is supposed to be a good product but I cannot remember the name; I wonder if that would be any good?

Like Tex68w said.. a wire wheel

I don't have any experience with it but heard good things about

Like stated cleaned up and just some standard black rattle can too

Por15 perhaps? More of a process, then a hardened coating, but it’s the best option.

Another vote for Eastwood products. I had friends that used their products near the coast in VA and all around Ohio/VA and swore by them. They have a cool summary video about their products you may find interesting if you are trying to deal with rust.

Bedline is fine until you need to loosen an bolt. If you bedline it, do it after you do your lift, sliders, and anything else that bolts under there before lining it.
Since I live in sunny So. Cal, I don't know anything about Fluid Film, so considering that Donny Voodoo lives in New England, I assume he may be a little more informed about that product. ;)

Buy it! :bounce::bounce2::clap:

Also, DO NOT paint over or add any coating OVER any RUST. It will just continue spreading under whatever you cover it with.
As you clean it (assuming you take my advice in the previous post and purchased the rig), loosen and either replace or re-tighten/torque any nuts and bolts and spray some WD-40 or something on them when threading back on. This will save a lot of headaches when doing service and/or adding mods on the under carriage.

I'd offer them $22K and buy it. Get a wire wheel for your drill and maybe another on an angle grinder and get to work. One weekend and some rust killer and paint and it'll be an afterthought.

Just a thought ... I bought mine out of the Chicago area, thorough inspection looked like surface rust and the truck was young so I didn't worry too much about it.

When I tried to have an alignment done, they found out one of the tie rods was seized. When I went to replace that, we found UCA that also needed to be replaced.

Might be worth having an alignment done to see, or at least plan on some reserve for that type of stuff that might come up.

But overall I agree with all the other thoughts here.

IMO, that price seems a little high for the mileage.
I think so too! If you pull it up on Cargurus it shows $1200 too high. I want to buy it but they do not want move on price maybe $500 at most.

Are the choices slim in your area for GX's?
Yeah they are few and far between. I may look for one down south where I do not have to worry about rust. The problem with that is you have to buy online and I like to look at and drive before buying.

Living where I do I have a lot of choices. The hardest decision for me was how far do I want to drive to get one. I will say that even out here, a '10-'13 Premium with with relatively low miles is still difficult to find.

One thing to consider after reading other posts over the past couple days is that it IS a California car, and thus without rust! (It is a CA car, isn't it??)
That in itself is a big plus, especially for what is offered in the northern states!

My car? Yes, it's a CA car and, yes, no rust.

When you look at 10-13 models on AutoTempest and Cargurus with less than 85K miles and less than $23k you come up with 5 listings on CG and 3 on AutoTempest. IMO.. .I wouldn't say the price is bad...

You have to remember there only like 200 (10-13) 460s for sale at dealers in the entire nation at this time... probably even fewer being sold by private hands.

None met the criteria on Autotempest CraigsL search

Looking at pricing of my '12 Premium out of CA...w/66k miles looks like I would have to pay around $25-26K right now. I paid $32k for it back in March of 2017 w/34k miles.

I agree, given the age of the vehicle and the current market I don't think that the price is high. There will be others for sure, but how many, how far away and at what price is the kicker. IMHO, I'd take the $500 off and move forward but if you aren't in a hurry and willing to continue to look and wait with the possibility of prices continuing to increase then pass it by and continue the search.
