It look very good to me,
but heck, I live in canada ,so how would I know.

does it look like to you that the passenger side axle is leaking ? as far as the interior its nice . it looks like i can only put up 3 pics or i would put up some more

How did you see that?
on the first pic , the tire looks like oil from the axle might be leaking out.. not sure though , I havnt seen the truck yet , just pics, its 250 miles from me

Those stains look kinda old to me, they could be from before he rebuilt it. You can tell the wiper seals are fresh.

Not a good deal in my opinion. I just bought a 92 runner v6 and the engine was 4k brand new, 4 inch lift, new tires, safari roof rack, all electronics work, no leaks for 3300. And yes it looks like there is a leak. Funny though because I looked at a white runner just like this before I bought the one I bought. That white runner wouldn't happen to be in denver would it? I would talk him down to at least 3k.

Around here....you cant find a rig like that. Theyre GONE! All there is, is the IFS, or they are HAMMERED if they are the straight axles. When I was first looking for a rig, this dude wanted 3300 for his mini truck, there was a WICKED rear main seal leak and you could literally look THROUGH the bed of the truck and see the ground. He wouldnt BUDGE on the price either. He was convince that because it was a solid axle and 22RE that he could get at least that much.
The body looks great on this one and if the motor was truly re built, that is a good bonus depending on if it was done well. 3400.00 does seem a bit high though. 3K I dont think would be a low ball offer. What do you wanna do to it? Is it gonna be a wheeler, or are you gonna keep it stock and dd it?
What else have you seen and what kind of prices have others come up with?
That is a tough one. That looks to be a really CLEAN rig that wouldnt come around too often. I might be apt to pay that much on second thought, though Id try and haggle DOWN of course.

Looks pretty good, and yes the front axle looks like it was rebuilt. Any chance of pics of the interior? Do the windows go up and down? Especially the rear window. Is it an SR5? How does it run? From the one pic the engine looks clean but that's not indicative. Probably pretty good deal. I know I wouldn't sell mine for anything less than $5500 if I was selling and I'm not.

Actually I can tell it's not an SR5 so no power windows or sunroof. Looks completely unmolested. If it runs and drives nice, go for it.

thats right no power windows , except for back window and it rolled up and down fine, but Id rather not have power windows ,so thats ok.. the pics that I received didnt show the minor scratches and small dents that were around the truck, stock steering wheel which I liked, he said he would take 3200.00 . but now im thinking maybe I want a truck thats built already for crawling .. what do you think the average built 85 4runner is going for, like with a real flexy lift, dual tranfer, high steer, front and rear lockers, etc.. thanks

Being into my second build, what youre looking at, is the way I would go. Someone has already paid the big money and done all the work. once a rig is "modded" it typically is worth less. Dont QUITE know how that works, but for the "mass market" it becomes less desirable and is priced accordingly.
The down side is, you dont know who did the work, how the work was done and how much abuse the rig as a whole has been subjected to.
Building yourself, youll be paying the premium prices (usually) and taking the loss in the end and doing all the work.
If I were to do it again, Id probably buy something built. However, this is a guy talking a year into a build with a TON of work and money spent to make it JUST RIGHT!

around where i live in southern ca. people want 6k and up for a semi built up rig, and thats with rock body damage

If you want it then I would buy it. Really people, what's the difference after 3 or 4 years if you pay $2900 or $3400? I know the simple answer is $500 but I think that's peanuts compared to what you will start spending when you start changing out suspensions, tires, etc.

I paid $3500 for mine (stock) with new 31" BFG AT's back in 2007. I can't count how much i've spent since then. A rig similar to mine sold recently nearby for about 6,500. There is an '86 ifs in town that a guy wants, get this, 14,500 for.

BTW, I had those same rims when I bought mine.....get rid of them if you plan on doing any wheeling. Not only did I chip the beads on rocks, but I got mud and rocks stuck on the backside of them which threw off balance. Get something with holes in it so you can clean them out.
