REAL WORLD TESTING CONCLUSION
You`d be hard pressed to find road conditions tougher than those in the Simpson Desert not to mention the 40+ degree C ambient temperatures.

Having worked the vehicles and their suspension to their limits in taxing conditions, at no point did the Foam Cells or Foam Cell Pros approach the 150 degree C temperature found to be the turning point for shock fade. None of the vehicles had any noticeable decrease in performance or shock fade, a great testament to Foam Cell shock absorbers.

How does the ride with ironman foam cell pro compare to AHC for non off-road use (maybe very "light" off-road)? Thanks

I don't have ahc either but the ride is really nice. It's stiffer but still soft. I feel like I have a lot more control over the vehicle with the fcp than what I had before which was bilstein front oem rear

I wish someone here in the Sacramento have this on their set up so I can at least "maybe" get a feel of how it rides. I'm thorn between this and Icon but rather go for the less expensive option if the ride is what I'm expecting

I don't have AHC, but I'm going to go with, "much stiffer"...
To clarify, I'm comparing an OEM truck with relatively new OEM shocks to the same rig with the FCP. You'll notice a lot more road feedback, small bumps, etc. But they're awesome on the dirt roads!

How is the comfort? I'm really looking for a lift that also rides as close to stock when it comes to comfort.....I just don't want to loose the smooth ride

I have a 99 with pros and a 04 LX with AHC. I would say with the AHC in the second stiffest setting on the shocks rides about the same as with the IMPros. I have 34s on both rigs. The AHC has more body roll.

Both are great setups. If I had a properly functioning AHC no reason to ever replace it. More people are afraid of it verses learning to use it properly.

The shocks are valved (mostly) for increased weight, irrespective of lift. It's tough to design a shock that eliminate body roll on a modified rig and handles the extra weight of bumpers, winches, etc, that still soaks up pavement cracks for an unloaded rig. If you're running a stock weight rig, it's gong to be a bouncier ride on the pavement than OEM shocks. Tough to eliminate body roll, handle the weight of bumpers and winches, etc and still soak up pavement cracks. If you've got no extra weight day-to-day, and don't load it up and bash it off road, or don't run miles of washboard roads at speed, it's pretty tough to beat the soft ride and cheap price of OEM shocks.

What kind of height difference front to back is everybody seeing with the ironman kit? I am trying to fine tune it to a 2 inch difference front to back, but may need to re-index in order to achieve that. My driverside is sitting a little lower than the passenger so it needs some attention.

I only see these as part of a kit on Metal Tech...do I need to call or is there another vendor that sells them individually?

I installed these on my truck this weekend replacing some 60k+ mile OME nitrocharger's. These ride really nice. They smoothed out the harsh bouncy (wash boardish) stuff for sure. @G-Cat you were asking where to get them...... I ordered them straight from Ironman's website.

Anywho, are they worth the money? Really personal opinion I guess, but these things are beefy, and I personally think they ride as well as other units that are much more expensive.

I like mine lol. They're better than the bling bling bilstein 5125s I have on my 4Runner. I wonder how they would do on a rock crawler. Or if they have them in 12 and 14 inch travel.

For those of you who've had these installed for a while, how are they going? How do they handle a heavily built rig?

I have a hilux but I'm looking at installing an ironman suspension GVM upgrade kit as I'll be weighing in at over 7000lb plus towing a caravan when fully loaded.
