Installed my pro and boy they're very stiff. Not sure if I like it that way.

1. They will soften a little as they initially heat up. They'll be stiff for the first 1-2 miles while they cycle and then soften a tad. They'll do this every time....just a product of the foam-cell design (same thing happens on my ToughDog foam-cells).

2. They will ride "harsher" compared to OEM as these are valved differently and designed to handle loads greater than stock and off-road/corrugated roads. I prefer the greater control of these larger foam cell shocks on my rig and find them to be very comfortable (but I have a bunch of weight on mine).

They are comfortable and perfect for my setup...I have a good bit of weight on mine as well. They are great shocks.

They do?! Where are you seeing this?

I spelled this out in the beginning

The 100, even LOADED like mine does best with the soft ride.

I chose the firm for my 55 and 60 to help with body roll. I chose correctly.

Your shock will be labeled.

I'll be damned. Looks like I have the FE on my 100. Wish I'd gotten the softer version the back can get a little "skippy" unloaded.

@wngrog for a stock rig that carries maybe 150lbs in the rear, would soft eliminate body roll I currently have with OEM shocks?

I’m not going to say they eliminate body roll. They stiffened up my leaf sprung trucks

On the 100 though, they are so much better than the OME. No comparison at all.

I hate that I missed this thread. I am the owner of Ex Cop Offroad. We were the first to test the Ironman Foam Cell Pro and the first (and still largest) distributor for them. Yes, they are owned by Metal Tech, but MT agreed that they will not compete with us on pricing, etc. I'd be glad to answer any questions you guys have. We've delivered about 100 sets in the US and have not had any complaints other than some squeaky top cap bushings which we cured relatively quick.

When we tested these shocks, we tried to break them. We ran a lot of miles in the desert, across the Mint 400 race course, rock crawling, and long distance on the highway. I will gladly get customer feedback to you.

Hi Nick, did the squeek occur on 100 series installs or other makes? I'm looking at installing but last thing I want is another noise to deal with.
Cheers mate

You'd need stiffer sway-bars to eliminate body-roll IMO. Not sure if anyone makes one though

Zero squeaking on mine

Whiteline, TJM, and Superpoly I believe all at one time offered uprated sway bars.

There are rubber bushing like things on the shocks near the dust cover. Does anyone happen to know the orientation and where they go exactly?

I'd also like to ask which way the rear shock bottom mount goes (it's offset)?

That’s the bumpstop. It goes on the shaft first
Awesome! And which way up? I’d think the flat part is the bottom part so when the shock compresses it contacts the larger possible area?

Do you happen to know which way the bottom eye of the rear shock should be installed? Closer to axle or further from axle?

I don’t understand the question

The bottom mount ring on the rear shock (that attaches to the axle) is off-centered on the FCP shocks. I’m searching for an answer about which way out of the possible two should it be installed onto the lower shock stud.
