I’ve had them on my 2017 hilux for a few months now and they ride great on road, haven’t had it off road since installing them unfortunately.

Currently in the process of installing the following

OME 865 rear coil springs
OME torsion bars (Both Done)
SPC upper control arms (Driver side completed)
4 IronMan Foam Cell Pro Shocks (Driver side completed)

Taking my time on the install since it's just me in my garage and I'm going through the cars other components in the process.

Couple questions for those of you who did the install:
1. I've read that some of you had to cut the rear (or all) of the stock shocks. Is that true? If not, is it difficult to remove the rears? Haven't gotten there yet ut probably tomorrow.
2. I lost one of the washers that go on the front shocks at the point where the shock mounts to the car. (Pic Below) Question is, where do I find another one? Tried Home Depot, Ace, Harbor Freight...no luck. Do I HAVE to get one from Ironman?

Having a fun time with 20-year-old Bolts/Nuts that are seized/breaking.

I may have one of those front washers, my new Toyota shocks included all new ones I think. I’ll check.

Rear shocks can be so much easier with one of these,

Fyi Metaltech Cyber Monday sale right now 20% off Ironman products (and others). I just pulled the trigger on the Pro Foams, looking forward to trying them out.

Anybody have tips on installing the rear, specifically keeping them from spinning while you tighten the first few turns? I had to use a 6mm (or maybe it was 8) with my other hand to keep the shaft from spinning. As you can see they're isn't really enough room since it's not sticking out past the nut very far. Hopefully there's an easier way out there.

I just installed my FCP's last week. They are awesome and deserve all of the hype in this thread.

A couple tips: The IM shock have a 21MM nut so get a 21MM flex head. If your shocks you are replacing are old and not worth saving, lop them off with a Sawzall, cut the job time by more than half just cutting.

Had mine installed about 3 weeks, I like their performance on and off-road, but I am noticing they are noisy/squeaky even when on asphalt, anyone else experience this?

Something is not right there. Maybe the plastic dust covers have something in them?

I do know the 100 series fronts need to be very tight at the top to eliminate rattle. I had to torque mine a few times before I got them 100% right

I'll see if they can be tightened any further. It's more of a creaking sound than a squeak. :meh:

Are the shocks the only thing thing you changed?

One thing you can do is spray penetrating oil like Kroil on one end of the shock at a time and then see if you can figure out if one of the bushings is a squeaker.......

Yes, didn't mess with anything else. If further torque doesn't help I'll try Kroil or similar. Thanks

Just do one end of one shock at a time. It’s more to locate your issue as it won’t last long

Update on this, it wasn't the shock bushings, it was my ball joints. Mislead because the sound began immediately after installing the shocks. Unfortunately a more expensive fix, but all good now, and still loving the shocks so far (interested to see how they do in the Phoenix summer).
