Its all about aerodynamics! He needs the down force to keep that baby from taking to the sky at flight speed. ;)

Working on changing my grill other to an 05 Tacoma grill. I just didn't think the contraption I had going looked good. I've pretty much got the grill mounted in place, next is fine tuning the hood line to blend into it. It is really close with a little trimming.

Here is a side pic where you can see how the hood rolls down too sharp. I plan to relief cut and bring it up to match the grill. In all the front lip of the hood has been cut back about 2 inches.

I'm liking the fact you're doing something new with the grill, originality is where it's at!

Plus, if you bean out a light you just get another Taco light from a yard, not like you handmade some projector contraption behind custom heated Lexan lenses or anything that would take 10-20 hrs to make a new replacement.

Do you have mandatory front liscense plates in your state (assume USA by parts & background - you in the Heartland?)

No front plates here in Mississippi! I've always loved the Tacoma facia.

This is one of the sweetest builds I have seen! I've been thinking of putting a soft top on mine for a long time! One day the wife might come home to find out we now own 2 convertibles...... lol
Great job!..... keep the info and pics coming!
