I had a Trooper springy base mounted in my (former) FJ40 for a while. Comfy and fun. However, they do NOT play nicely with 5-point harnesses. The seat changes height over bumps, but the belts don't. My legs and shoulders took a lot of abuse before I reinstalled the stationary base.eshelbyk said:Very common in Isuzu Troopers, and nearly identical as the LC ones. Run out and get yours today! haha so i am not the only one i pulled mine cause previous owner sank it backing his boat into the lake. i have a custom 1" thick dirt floor courtesyof my size 13's and pit bull hair to give it texture..... as a side note when i had my rear axle apart doing gearsit was parked for a few weeks and i discovered 3 small plants growing in the rear floor board area.I'm too ashamed. I pulled the carpet about three years ago because of the stench from a windshield gasket leak and never put it back down. Bare blue with the black "adhesive" pads and a lot of golden retriever hair is all I got. Line-x probably very soon though. I'll take pics then.
Calfj60: That's my version of an interior tire carrier. That one mounted to the verticle support s behind the rear quarter trim panel. I reinforced it with some plywood inside the quarter panel. I've recently built another one from 1" steel square tube that mounts through the floor and to the sheet metal below the rear window (no pics of that one yet). Although I'm picking up my new bumper with tire carrier tomorrow, my truck won't fit into my garage with the tire on the bumper, so I'll keep the tire inside for every-day driving around.
I added ABS interior panels.
Britklr - I like the ABS. What did you use to rivet the panel onto the tailgate?
