Hehe, well you actually did what I was about to do if I couldn't figure it out. Its exactly what I was worried everyone would go through. I really think the kit itself is really good and the effect is just soo needed. Glad it worked out.

My first major upgrage on my newly aquired 94, and I couldnt have done it without this thread. Like you said, Slee's intructions are imcomplete on this. Maybe whoever wrote the instructions has installed this enough times that he left out many obvious steps for him but not so obvious for us.

I was contacted by Slee when I first did the write up so my guess is that they are already re-working the instructions/pictures. Glad you got it going ok!

GREAT job on the writeup. I've been holding off on doing the upgrade but now, I've got exactly what I need. I know Christo very much appreciates feedback to his instructions to make them more "idiot" proof. I say that because I have done my part to help "idiot" proof some of them myself cuz, well...sometimes I am an idiot when it comes to mods :hillbilly:.

Compared to instructions from say ARB, Christo's are great. With the additional information you provide they can REALLY be top notch :steer:

Now that I've done this, I bet we could knock it out in under an hour. Come on over this weekend, Jeff!

!!!Stupid Q? Alert!!!

Okay I have been on Slee a number of times and have orderd a few things off there website but I cannot find this headlight harness... HELP

Very nice write up I actually just got some of the projector headlights and will be getting the harness as soon as I can find it

i keep having issues with the relays....

NLXTACY - thanks for the great write up! I've had the Slee harness sitting around for a while, finally got the bulbs from daniel stern and put it all in. Huge improvement over factory lo-beams.

Your write up was fantastic, much appreciated.:clap:

NLXTACY!!!! Thanks, I think Slee has your pictures. Have my harness, dielectric grease and cold beer in hand. With your write up and pictures I'm stoked and on my way to the shop!!
Thankyou

Thank you MAINEMIKE. Its niec to know people are at least reading the thread :p

FOKKERSAURUS, go to town with it. Its cake!

Just as an update, I've had two folks contact me about helping them troubleshoot an install. Unfortunately Slee was closed at the time so I was the next best thing :hillbilly:

On both of these problematic installs, both turned out to be an issue with the wiring with the harness itself. Please contact Slee as soon as you can to remedy.

The problem is that the low and high beams are basically switched due to a reversed ground and can most likely be taken care of by reversing the pins but Slee will have the exact solution.

Been considering this harness because;

I have an odd ball problem that is intermittent on the left rear brake light. This problem only occurrs when the headlights are on. The left running light goes out and brake light does not come on when the pedal is depressed. Turn the headlights off and all functions properly. Don't know if I'm dealing with a voltage drop or what.
I fiddled with it a bit (bulb seating, etc.) and got it working properly but it has since resurfaced. Perhaps the harness setup could remedy the problem.

Thoughts:confused:

I would have to say the Slee harness wont help. the only thing you are eliminating(by installing) is the wire run to the passenger headlight, and the original bulb sockets for the headlights. When you say you fiddled with the bulb socket, which bulb? that got it working right. Another question, does the running light and brake light function properly on the right side all the time?

I have had one of these harnesses sitting around for over a year. (In the same box as a set of panhard bar adjusters, a TruSpeed, and the speedometer drive o rings) I need to get after it.
