FWIW Rhino Rack parts for the RCP model are in short supply! Email received yesterday from Rack Outfitters tells me the RCP17-BK set of 6 foot mounts "JUST sold out" are back ordered for mid July, while the load bars and risers are available. I made several phone calls to other dealers, Amazon and to Rhino and nobody has immediate stock. Hard to be patient in this Amazon Prime world, but I'll just have to wait my turn as this looks like a good system.

I may be able to make a trip on Tuesday to pick up and bring tents back to Chapel Hill. To be determined exactly when, family is supposed to be around this week.

If it helps, @jamesurq @fj40z

Did I miss anybody else in the Triangle?

I can also come up Tuesday and pick up everything for the guys in the upstate.

We will have to see time of delivery. I will be here Tuesday morning eaitinb for the appliance guy. Hopefully they will come in the morning. I can make myself available in the afternoon if needed. I dont know how the procedure is for unload from the truck. But help will be appreciated. If i am not here, i can open the garage for you guys.

Much obliged. Worth at least a case of your favorite beverage if you could mudship to Chapel Hill.

I’m going to have to strap mine to the top....otherwise pulling my trailer 2 hours....clips for my rack won’t be in until Wednesday unless I can find something to work. Maybe @Roxx can call Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning to see what the ETA will be on Tuesday and we can come up with a game plan. I can head over on Tuesday morning....but I will have a 2.5 month old with me all day.

I dont know how the procedure is for unload from the truck.
The delivery truck can be anything from a 22' box truck to a 53' semi. The driver will either have a pallet jack or a fork lift, depending on vehicle type. Your driveway incline will be hell on him if he only has a pallet jack. My experience is that they usually send a box truck with a lift gate and pallet jack to residential addresses. You might need to prepare to have the pallets left on the street and unload the tents there, carrying them individually into the garage for the people that won't be picking up on Tuesday.

I will try my best to get down there early enough to help on Tuesday evening as well. If not I may have to take you up on your offer @NC LX

I can call and see scheduled delivery. I dont mind ipen and closing the garage door for “some” of you....

I really doubt they are coming early to a residencial address. But i keep you guys posted

Just got my Yakima bars on. I will say that if you are going to use bars (Yakima, Thule, etc.) then get the 66” bars. 48” won’t even make it from one side rail to the other. 58” would work, but if you want to have an awning connected at some point I would go with 66”. I will post a picture in a bit....I have just over 8” of the bar on each side of the siderail sticking out. Sounds like a lot, but looks good and gives a hoist point to grab for whatever reason.

Damn. I’m gonna be in Atlanta - I get back around 6pm Tuesday. Was that later than you were planning/you trailering yours?/you got room for mine? Lmk

Probably a little later than I was planning to try to get down there but will have to see how work goes that morning before I know for sure. If I can’t get down there earlier I’ll let you know and maybe we could ride down there together or something. I planning on strapping mine down on the rack in the box so there maybe room for both on the rack.

@Roxx Any updates? Just wondering what time I should leave AVL tomorrow. I don’t mind waiting in the driveway a little bit of that is what it takes. ;-)

If I don’t hear anything I will probably leave AVL around 11am-12pm...baby dependent. I want to check in the morning and make sure it says ‘out for delivery’.
