I gotchu.

I was leaning towards factory filament bulbs since it seems LED are hit or miss but thanks for the link I'll give it a read! 🤙

@jcardona1 so basically I can call up, email or find each one of these on Jackson Electric site? And the number is the amount I need for that corresponding location? This is brilliant!!!
Also do the colors represent the color condom needed to stay factory??

Yup, exactly! No need to call, you can order everything from the Jackson website. Not sure if you saw my other posts in that big LED thread but you'll notice the antenna switch uses a tiny Type A/T1 bulb with very low output. On my switch I took a Dremel and enlarged the opening so it fits the bigger Type B/T1.25 found in the other switches. Now it has much better light output.

For the color coding, that's mostly for the folks that are swapping with LEDs or changing colors. If you're just replacing burnt out bulbs, no need to order any color condoms since you can just swap the condoms over unless they get damaged during removal. All factory bulbs are clear.

Finally placed my order and it was 26 bucks.. didn't get the ones you have to solder but I think its going to make a huge difference. While I have every thing apart I'm going to add my newly acquired amp and sub! Thanks again @jcardona1

Hi,

I'm looking for a similar bulb for the lights in the heating console of a LC 1997 80 series collectors series. Bulb is 10mm wide and 15mm tall. Any ideas on a model number and where I could find this in North america.

Thanks
Duncan

It is listed in the chart in post 44 of this thread. CLUSTER-MAIN ILLUM

Hey everyone I too replaced all my bulbs behind the dash with led's everything works perfect except the PRND lights, I opened it all back up checked them in other slots all the bulbs work properly, took it to an electrical mechanic and he said it might be something connected on the transmission, I believe he said transmission control unit? which might have gone out, he is a general mechanic and had a really bad accent that was hard to understand. Anyone else have this problem or know what part he was talking about? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure if it applid to the LX470 series. Cheers!
I have no idea if this applies to the 100/470. You're in the 80 Series tech section. The charts and discussions here all relate to the 80 Series.

Was the cluster working correctly before you replaced the bulbs with LEDs?

I bought it used and no it wasnt.
That center cluster has a dedicated connector (brown), so I would make certain that that connector is seated correctly.
Also there is a shared ground for the PWR-P-R-N-D-2-L bulbs on pin 6 of that connector.
All of those bulbs are run from the NSS on the side of the transmission, but if that were faulty you would likely have other issues with the transmission shifting properly.

Toyota wants around $10 each for those little 1/4 turn bulbs that are used in the PRNDL cluster, the climate control, and most of the buttons. I finally found a reasonably priced alternative on Mouser: Mouser PN 560-DNW1-DW33 (manufacturer PN DNW1-DW33. $1.18 each. Shipping was $4.99. They're rated to produce 9 lumens at 14V for 5,000 hours.

The brown bulbs are OEM, the gray bulbs are JKL:

I believe the back of the stock bulbs say JSD or TSC V-2. LED sites seem to call these T4 bulbs. Toshiba seems to call them T1 1/4 Neo-Wedge bulbs. The excellent and detailed Toshiba lighting catalog was helpful in tracking down the right bulb, as was JKL's Neo-Wedge lamp listing.

The antenna up/down buttons use a smaller bulb. I don't currently have an alternate part number for that.

Here are some of the other JKL bulbs that should fit, providing different light output:

DNW1-DW40 0.040A @ 14V, 1.89 lumens, 10,000 hours
DNW1-DW48 0.040A @ 14V, 1.89 lumens, 10,000 hours (16V max)
DNW1-DW07 0.08A @ 14V, 3.77 lumens, 15,000 hours
DNW1-DW10 0.1A @ 14V, 6.29 lumens, 10,000 hours
DNW1-DW33 0.125A @ 14V, 9 lumens, 5,0000 hours

Did anyone ever find the other instrument bulbs on mouser? The 194 type main cluster bulbs? Looking to order these.
