So Boys,
It is official I am in the hunt for a new cruiser, looking to go with a 62 or 60. I spend most of my evenings going through classifieds, south of the border is the probable place I will find what I'm looking for. Had my eye on a couple but when I get ready to pull the trigger there gone. If you guys come across any let me know.

Jay

Oh I've got plans.

The 2h out of my truck is going in, sprung over, Bobbed back end, black box. A little something like that. We'll see when I get one and how long the motivation lasts.

This is a possible candidate http://olympic.craigslist.org/cto/4149853930.html

Actually are emailed the guy waiting for some pics on that one. Its not so much the project side as I don't want to combating huge amounts of rust, I hate body work!

Probably a bit late now that its missing hood, axles, and seats, and I'm sure you wouldn't be caught dead in a mall cruiser anyway but if you're planning to bob it and all that..... Rust free 80 frame and body free for the taking in my back yard :)

We talked about dropping it on a 80 chasis, Garry Coberly did one in the hard core section..

Pretty sweet..

We are trying to work a deal on the truck posted..

what are u doin with the 40

Yeah i might be interested in a couple of things if ur parting it out

Too bad the 2H isn't up for grabs eh bud!! lol.

Say, I haven't seen you commuting in the 40 lately. Perhaps we are on different schedules now a days.

We got to get together here at some point.

2h isnt gonna happen.. So might do a turbo propane 2F...
Dont daily drive the 40 and i have been goin into to work when i want lately ... Doin alot ASME QC work..

I have been looking south at a lot, but the time I get picks of the key rust areas they get sold the next day. And there is definitely no 80's coming to my yard, way to fat.

Have you considered a 70 series lwb? Most are rust free still, and their dimensions are nearly identical to the 60 series.

Maybe you could buy that $3000 HZJ77 on used victoria, and swap a Prado body onto it to correct the damage from when it was rolled. From the firewall back they are identical, and that is where most of the damage on that truck is.
