Deo if you need a case to get this going, I have one here you're welcome to. Just replace it with the next one you part out. I love those steam pressure washers, on my list of tools to get sooner than later.

Hey Roma- thanks for the offer. I actually still have the original case and I’m putting it on. I thought I would save time buying a transmission with the case already on. No big deal, especially not in all the craziness that’s going on around me and the globe

I see. Hopefully that clutch/pressure plate works with that set-up.

The Dellow clutch does not fit the XAT flywheel. This has a silver lining as the Dellow Clutch doesn’t look like its up to the task of handling boost. The last thing I wanted to do was have a slipping clutch once I put it all together. XAT is making me a stage 2 clutch rated for 475 ft lbs torque, for the h55. The order was placed a few weeks ago, but I wasnt given a time table for delivery

I’m going to see if I can make an adapter plate to mount off the Oem 1uz Bellhousing that will allow an h series trans to bolt on. This would eliminate the need for an expensive and difficult to source custom housing. View attachment 2234417View attachment 2234418View attachment 2234419View attachment 2234420

The owner XAT has already done this. From what he’s telling me, he has an adapter plate to bolt onto the stock 1uz housing, that allows you attach a h series transmission. He made it for himself but never used it. I have purchased it as well as his hydraulic clutch set up. If these parts work like I think they will, this will a simpler way for anyone to accomplish a 1uz swap than the exotic Dellow parts. He says he can make more if the demand is there.

Isn’t that XAT flywheel for the “R” series transmissions? Hoping they make one for the H models

He says the flywheel will work with the H transmission, but a custom clutch is required as all the Toyota clutches on his page are for R series

After driving @bdyer12 ‘s 60, I knew how I wanted the suspension set up on mine. 80 front axle on coils and 80 rear on leafs.

Trail tailor now offers parts over the counter to make it happen. Excited to get a set for my rig

XAT isn’t able to make the clutch/ adapter plate at this time. We are going to regroup once everything settles down.

In the mean time- I took the XAT flywheel to a custom clutch shop, as well as the clutch disc that came with the Dellow housing. They were able to remove the h series clutch center and install it on a high performance disc. They also supplied me with a pressure plate that is a direct fit for the XAT flywheel.

Now that I have a clutch, the only piece of the puzzle left is the throw out bearing. The plan is to run a hydraulic setup instead of a fork. Once that is sourced, it can all start going together.

In addition to the RAM hydraulic throwouts that @samc2447 mentioned, another popular option in the 1UZ manual swap world is a camaro slave cylinder

Check out Ram clutches. They helped me with a hydraulic TO bearing for a custom application. They make stuff that will handle high HP too.

Good to know. My neighbor Frank and have been scratching our heads trying to find a 36mm hydraulic throwout. I’ll give them a call tomorrow.

Unfortunately it won’t fit over the H55 shaft. @bobm @scrapdaddy my neighbor Frank thinks he may be able to modify one to work. The best solution will be finding one that will fit off the shelf, but I’m open to any options.

Wrapping my brain around possibilites Deo and maybe you can shed some light. With the dellow bellhousing, can the OEM UZ 5spd flywheel be used and use a 300mm clutch from say, a 70 series with h55? Its a 300m disc and 10 spline. The part that starts to get fuzzy for me is if the UZ 5psd clutch cover would work with the FZ clutch.

The part I truly don't know is throwout bearings, but I will also watch along closely with your hydraulic method.

My brain is going in circles thinking about this.

I used a XAT UZ flywheel and Aisin ct-057 clutch disc/ pressure plate. The Clutch disc was modified with the center of a 2f clutch disc making it work on the h55.

I’ve yet to come up with a solution for the throwout bearing. The Dellow came with a clutch fork, but there is not room for it running the stock exhaust manifolds.

well.... it’s gone again. The timing is way off to finish this build and I have sold the 60 with the h55. They are both getting picked up tomorrow.

The following parts are available for sale if anyone is interested

Dellow bh + clutch
Trail tailor front coil conversion
80 axles

I’m setting the haltech, supercharger and 1uz aside for another project.

Well, the 60 not quite gone. The 3rd party buyer showed up this morning and wasn’t able to communicate with his buyer, so no sale.

At this point I’m going to put the new h55 behind a low mile 2f and then make the truck available for sale as a runner.

Thanks @bdyer12 for selling me this low mile 2f. Back to stock she goes!

I have to say I’m disappointed not to see it crystallize into a hotrod, but it will still make a sweet 60 once all is said and done.
