I like it better than the short wheel base. With the shorter wheel base you didn't have any seats. But now that you have the longer base, seats grew in place.
It don't matter I think both are cool. There will be times when you wish you had a short base....than again there will be times when you wish you had a long base....As long your happy with it thats all that matters. As long the your 40 meets your 4X4 application.

All thats left is:
Remount front bumper/winch
Shocks and Shock mounts
Trac Bar
Build new skid plate
Hook up my ARB
Rewire lights/relays
Install new driveshafts
need new alternator

noth'in to it.

You guys are putting evil ideas into my head. I recently sold my 80 and picked up a 40...

..

Neil... it's no good.... just gonna have to give it to me, I'll make it right!

I think its all relative. Friend with basicly same set-up as me reversed the leaves to gain wheel base and hi centered on a situation I drove over. Much better on steep inclines/declines but all situations are different. Not ruined by far...

Can you say "Long Travel"

Very nice. It's going to be interesting to see how your cruiser and Glen's do this summer with your long wheelbases.

Are you planning on sticking with the 37 mtrs? Are those off of clint's jeep?

I'll run 37's but not mtrs. Clint still has his for sale i think

I finished the front end ...all eccept the shocks anyway.

You are starting too remained me of someone good luck on the Con this year. Go the high side in the old sluice you will love it.

Neil-I have exactly the same long travel spline on my front drive shaft. Did you get that at Sac driveline? I've flex tested mine and the 11 inches of travel is plenty!

I'm looking forward to seeing your 40 in person.

Maybe I should do 37's too....?
