What suspension are you running?
I have already purchased stock shocks and a 1' spacer...

OME t-bars, Total Chaos upper arms, OME 860's + 30mm MAF spacers, Ride-rite airbags, and Icon stage 2 shocks.....also Metaltech rear lower control arms.

...to be honest, I think you might be going a better route for ride comfort....I'm not a huge fan of the "sportier" city ride these things get with the aftermarket torsion bars, but I'm happy with how it performs on dirt roads....I've also been chasing an issue with repeated CV boot tears that's got me frustrated,....I'm thinking it could be due to the extended droop allowed by the TC arms and Icon shocks.

Mama's taking the baby out of town with her this weekend, so I'm hoping for some wrenching time after I put the 2 year old to bed,...maybe chase down this front end rattle I have developed.

I had tears on my outer CV boots on my 3" lifted 4Runner for quite a while... my solution was the first post in this thread... Not sure what the LC's CVs look like though... I also sprayed the bellows with silicon spray.

That is probably more than I want to do suspension-wise to this truck. I will keep my 4Runner for fun and firmness...

These Houston streets require a good suspension...

I placed the carpet in my trailer and pretreated it with cheap carpet cleaner from Walmart and scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed...

Then I took Purple Power in a spray bottle and sprayed the whole thing heavily, then scrubbed some more... then power washed it all out... wow! Look at the difference...

There are still stains but they seem permanent...

The map pockets on the back seats were saggy and stretched out. I can’t stand it and I know the kids will break it with their feet.

The 1/8” grey bungee I bought off eBay (I bought tons extra for some reason) was a perfect match. I bought Bungee, not Paracord. Paracord has no elasticity. Paracord Planet was the brand.

I tried to pull the capless pushnuts off the back to no avail. Looking at it, I figured I could just cut the old bungee off flush then drill all the way through and tie it off in the back. Blue tape to protect the vinyl and an 1/8” drill bit were used.

Just tied a knot on one end and threaded it through the netting then pushed it through the other side and tied another knot.

Ahhhhh.... much better. Easy, cheap fix too!

I also pulled all the wood trim off the center console and cup holder... the results looked horrible so I am going to have to paint it or something... this took some time and some Goo Gone...View attachment 1641065

There is a company making replacement "wood" panels

I pulled the back carpet out again and power washed it along with the floor mats... it is looking bare in there

I snapped a pic of the center console cover because they must put some sort of a coating on it as it reacted to one of the plastic safe chemicals I used... I am going to try to paint it.

Today I came home to a surprise! My headrest covers came back from LSeat and they came out great... so I installed them.

I also sent the gear selector plate to my brother at the sticker shop in Seattle. He should get it Friday. He will analyze it, come up with a solution and send it back. He thinks he can do a reversed sticker on the underside.

May have to peel all the paint off (easy with purple power overnight) clean and plastic polish it, apply sticker, tape over sticker, then repaint back side black...

Also my mother is a big time quilter so I have sent her the shift knob and what is left of that cover to see what she can do with it.

To show an example of how steaming tightens the leather, on top is not steamed - on bottom is steamed. If you don’t steam, don’t worry, it will shrink naturally over a few months in a warm climate.

Seats are buttoned up and ready for install. Still not steamed...

I may experiment with some dyes tonight...

get some sound deadening film and line that thing while its all out!!

Man our 100s were twins...this was mine when I bought it! (After new tires of course) I was lucky, my wood trim came off clean with a heat gun and just some goo gone the black plastic looks brand new.

I'm going to read your thread tonight, I need a few things addressed on mine like yours. The front seat netting and console lid, for example.

Looks like you're killing it so far!

This is the quietest car or truck I have ever been in... I don't think it needs any - I may put a little in... I am definitely going to put some insulation under the cup holders though... The cup holders seem to get hot.

My brother received the part and asked if I wanted it in the LC font... or anything else I could imagine. Here is the LC font:

I tried to work the last couple of nights but was just too tired...

I bought all the Graphite and Frost Grey Rit brand synthetic fiber dye I could find last night as I am not sure how much I will need... I think the frost grey will be the first test. I have never dyed to grey only to black so we will see in a bit...

Okay, I can say without a doubt, do not not do this to your Land Cruiser unless you are going to the color black. I have had success going to black but the lighter colors are not working. I tried two different solutions... 1. 50/50 dye/water 2. 25/75 dye/water. The result you see is 25/75. Got it wet first:

Then the dye:

While it came out nice on a paper towel and an old white T-shirt this was the result. Trust me when I say it looks better in pics than it does in person. It literally looks like I pulled it out of the mud and washed it off... here next to an original color floormat:

It did however get rid of the blueing of the edge stitching... haha...
