I updated/finished a project I started a long time ago. The 45 nose that hangs on the wall has always needed fenders and turn signals. Andy @Voodoocruisers had given me the pieces I needed but the fenders were too far gone. About two weeks ago I was at Roma’s @roma042987 house and he had some scrap fenders that he was discarding, so I hauled them off for him. So now it’s complete, although I may wire the lights up some day. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ive got a front grille, side panels, and pair of aprons hanging on my loft railing also. Wonder how many 40 series fronts are hanging up on shop/garage walls throughout the community.... :D

There are quite a few, I’m sure. Most of them, like mine, are just scrap that wouldn’t be useable on a rig.

I finished insulating behind all of my plumbing today (nothing picture worthy). Then I used some scrap to hide the plumbing and the sink stand.

Yesterday I sanded the slat walls. Honestly it’s a task I wasn’t looking forward to, so I was procrastinating. But it went very quickly, so now it’s time for more clear.

I like that! On my phone now, so hard to see pics. How did you do it? Can tell if it’s spaced or painted black between.
Thanks! It’s actually individual boards w/space between them. The walls were painted black before installation. If you look back a few pages you can see how I built it.

Somebody posted in another thread about finding some LC swag at Tractor Supply. So on my way home from church today I stopped by TSC to do a little hunting. I didn’t find the sign I was looking for, but I do find these two. They were the only ones on the shelf and they’re seasonal, so they probably won’t be restocked. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The clock is 15” and the sign is 7”.

After my successful hunt I got busy in the shop. I was able to get the second coat of clear applied this evening. Hopefully it won’t need another coat.

Second verse same as the first! 🤓

I also found a new “wing nut” for the air breather on the 56’ today.

I purchased a ceiling fan earlier this week and installed it today. I also touched up the ceiling, then I started installing the flooring. The flooring is about 75% complete. I hope to finish it tomorrow.

I finished the flooring this afternoon. Now it’s time for some trim work.

Do you have heat in here? Looks like the executive suite and came out really really nice…
Thanks Al, I will have an electric heater in there when it’s finished.

I was thinking about adding a split unit in there …I have no office space so I thought about a cassette ceiling mount up on one of the sides. I don’t want to spend the $2500 for heat/ AC I may only use a few times a year. I have an electric heater 220v looks like a 16” cube but I would need it running about an hour when it’s 35 degrees out to get about 58-60 inside. The foam insulation helps a lot but lately, it’s been 60 outside and the pole barn feels like the refrigerated section at Costco. The insulation works in reverse too…😁

Al it’s been windy and raining all weekend, yesterday it touched 61* briefly. Today it made it to 54* momentarily. It was 60* in the shop all weekend. The money I spent on 6” of fiberglass insulation was a good investment.

Merry Christmas 🎄 my Mud family. I hope your holiday season is filled with family, love and blessings 😇🙏🏻
