When I tested them I hooked the XB35's to my old DDM 55W Ballasts and soon after was getting smoke. I quickly turned them off and installed the 35W. They run 100* cooler (not lying either). I do not see this bowls lasting long on DDM 55W HID's. Sorry, just don't see it, I got smoke after 15 seconds.

You got that far without setting the truck on fire or frying the electronics.....Im impressed. :flipoff2:

Meet up tomorrow after my test?

Also, i like the tape on the wall

Done!

They are aimed way to low. I will try to aim them up. But they are way down. I can see the cutoff on the ground 50ft infront. It should be drop 2" every 10 feet o think.

Yes sir! Adjustment is done and they are done driver side needs a bit of work. It's tilting to the left ever so slightly. I will loosen the lock nut up and rotate tommorow.

First snag. I can't adjust them any higher. Anybody have an idea? Spacers....??? I can't see s*** past the cutoff. Not safe right now. Only low speed stuff.

sure, we need to think of a way to "tilt" these things up a bit.

Just call me when your done with everything.

re-trim the surface where the projector mounts. Maybe you left a high spot on the bottom and slightly tilted it down?

and this means another 4 hours of work.... the surface is flat. I have no idea why they would pointed down so far.

fawk, looks like im taking it all apart tommorow to find out. Yea, looks like that is the only way to check. Maybe I can remove the locking ring and see.

find a wedge washer that fits and put it between the lock ring and headlight surface that you trimmed.

Ummm, bulbs plus huge magnifying glass???

Thanks for posting up Nick. This will help a lot. I'm looking forward to getting my kit! XB35's still on back order.

Jon, feel free to ask any questions. I am sure I missed something

I will say this. I noticed in the picture the cutoff doesn't look crisp, sharp, but not crisp. The iPhone can't capture the rainbow effect these give off against the wall.

It's very, very nice at night. No hotspots and easy on the eyes. I just need to aim up a bit.

this is my sugestion. The projectors are probably sitting in the socket at an angle. Perhaps, find something to use as a guide when cutting with the dremel to ensure the cuts are all equal.
