I am going through the process of trying to get some more keys for my LX450. I called Sewell, and they told me that they can no longer cut keys for anyone who is not in person with the vehicle. As I live only about 100 miles from Dallas I will have to stop by Sewell next time I am up there.as for the Lexus key: Sewell Lexus in Dallas can cut them from your VIN number, and you get a discount (IIRC ~25%) from them if you sign up with Club Lexus first (then give them your Club LX username when you order) - you will have to document ownership of your truck to them (their website will instruct you when you order the key(s) - everything can be done online (of course, you can call if you want, too), takes less than a week, fits perfect
now I only need to get additional keyfobs working . . .

It is the plastic part, and the key has fallen off once before already. Luckily, while I was getting some stuff out of the back of the truck, it fell in the grass right there. I went back and found it. I'm up in DFW pretty often as most of my family is there, so Sewell is pretty easy for me. The only reason I head east to Shreveport is to hit the boats and lose all my money!if it's the metal part, bend it back as best you can - if it's the plastic ear on the fob, yeah, you'd need a new key fob
Sewell has locations in Dallas and Ft. Worth, by the way
or maybe Shreveport ? Dealer Details - https://www.lexus.com/dealers/61703-lexus-of-shreveport---bossier-city
